Well I thought I was all organised as I'd made an appt to get the flu jab on 5th Oct. unfortunately I seem to have caught it just now. Worried about the baby, just hope it hasn't affected it. I'm going to phone docs when they open and try to get appt for today. I'm feeling sick whenever I eat or drink anything. TMI alert - yesterday I had fountains of sick coming out. It was horrible and left my throat really burnt. Claire I don't know how you have coped with all the sickness you've had.

Rummer - that is mega organised having your hospital bag nearly ready. I might start thinking about that sometime after Christmas.

I haven't bought anything yet but I do have most of the stuff I'll need from DD2. We've both agreed on a girls name after not being able to think of one we both like. Would be funny if we then find out it's a boy.

Hope your scan goes really well Birdie :)

Yeah that's the worst when it's like that. Sometimes I had what was litres of it coming up & all I'd had was sips of water or juice! I just couldn't understand it.

Once I started coughing blood as I think my throat was so irritated & now because I cough all day I get this horrible dry feeling in my throat /oesophagus & I find yoghurt helps a bit so try that if you can stomach it.

I'm not sure how I coped really I felt like I was dying some days I know that sounds really dramatic but I just felt totally out of control. I just used to count down the hours until I could take another anti sickness tablet or go to bed, so perhaps the dr can give you something to help with that.

    Birdie good luck!!!

Mince pie that's so annoying I remember having that when I was younger & waking up with your eyes shut together! Hope it clears up.

Kynthia I don't know but I'd imagine maybe you'll get a scan or chat but at least you know yourself the heart problems are unlikely to be genetic.

Morning all... Monday blues here today it is really grey and miserable.
This weekend has been super busy, I have made the cot up and got all of DS clothes out of storage for newborn and 0-3 (he was was a big baby so wasnt really in new born) he has loads, I mean so much stuff I counted 26 baby gros, i am not getting that many out I am going to pick my favourites and put the rest in storage at home in case i need them. There were even brand new outfits he has never worn! I think it is becasue loads were gifts I know I didnt buy that much stuff.

We are super busy OCT/NOV/ DEC so I am trying to sort something out every weekend, this weekend coming we are going to sort out all equipment so travel system, car seat etc. I jsut wished I had been more organised when I put everything away last time!

Hi everyone, hope you had good weekends! :) Got my 20 week scan date through for the 21st October and can't wait to find out what we're having. If its a boy it will take us forever to pick a name but if its a girl I want the name Kally but DH wants something more standard (he has an unusual name and hates spelling having to spell it to everyone) so I was thinking of maybe Caroline and shortening it to Kally - any thoughts/suggestions?

Well done to those who have packed their hospital bags! Have you remembered the extremely attractive maternity pads and disposable knickers in a couple of sizes up? :D I remember my midwives being very impressed with my lovely knickers that went halfway up my stomach.

16 week midwife appointment this Wed when I find out what the consultant has actually put me down for. I've got to give a stool sample *yuk* and am wondering how to go about it!
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

    Morning!

Eeek it is scary when you think about it in pay days!!
Glad we're starting to get some of the big stuff sorted now.

    I've just ordered a cotbed! :D
A little bit MSE, but not totally! Really wanted to get a new one, so have been looking round, we already have a pine wardrobe so wanted something in vintage pine, which is not so popular. We really liked the M&P hayworth, but not paying what they want for it on M&P!

Well, I found it on ebay much reduced to £169 (instead of the rrp of £275). I called them up to check delivery costs and by going direct it was £149 (plus delivery - free collection if you're near Leeds). Ill pm the details if anyone's interested in one.

We've been banding about names, but cant seem to agree on many!!

Hi all - thanks for all your news and big hugs to everyone feeling under the weather x
We had our anomaly scan this morning at 21+6, was amazed at how much you can see compared to the 12 week scan. Both me and hubby had eyes popping out of our heads! Good news is everything looked ok to the sonographer, she wrote down the gender on a card which is sealed in an envelope - plan is to open this on holiday (end of this week). Placenta is low so I'm booked in for a scan at 34 weeks (just before christmas) to see if its sorted itself out or not. Apparently it often rearranges itself as you grow but they need to be sure its not in the way of the exit route.
All feeling very real now!

    Congranulations Fran!

Did you see anything that made you think ooh that looks like a boy/girl or will you have no idea until you open the envelope?
