Squirrel if it helps I got such a !!!! picture at 19 weeks that the woman gave it to me for free- but it was because baby was far too active, she was perfectly clear on the screen, but wouldn't pose for a photo, in fact when the lady said 'I don't think she wants her picture taken' she put her hands over her face and turned away! Too much like daddy already lol

The heartbeat isn't listened to hear at 16 weeks as it's hard to find but tbh I'd got myself into such a state worrying that she wouldn't find it if she did look that I was glad when she said categorically that they don't. Plus I'd Started feeling movements so that reassured me

Went to an all you can eat last night, ate far too much and felt really uncomfortable after, clearly there's not as much room in there as there used to be lol

We announced on fb after the Anomaly scan as there's lots of old friends from uni etc on there that I wanted to know. In consideration for those who might be ttc I didn't put up a scan picture, as I think a status is easier to ignore plus I hated the surprise pregnancy more than the announcement when I was trying- you know, when they've not said anything and then bam! Picture of them heavily pregnant

Going to a charity furniture shop tomorrow- haven't found a dining table, coffee table or tv stand/cabinet that we like yet as we want kind of an old fashioned style so hopefully there'll be some stuff there that catches our eye

  • Not been posting much due to time but been managing to lurk most days to catch up. I'm full of the cold, so is DD2. I'd taken her to the docs cos I thought she had an ear infection. Seemed quite poorly but by the time we went to the docs calpol had kicked in and she was bouncing off the walls - didn't look ill at all :o

I thought I could use olbas oil for babies for me but the label said not to take before consulting doc. Hmmm. I know I could take paracetamol but I'd like to avoid if poss.

On the work front, I'm a SAHM. It's not easy financially but I love being able to be at home.

Can't get time to write and finish a post. DD2 is now demanding toast so I'd better go :)

My 20 week scan went smoothly :j For a number of reasons this pregnancy is high risk and we were very anxious that something would show up on the scan, however everything looks great so far which is a huge relief!

After my mini melt down last week all I have left to buy are the bits and pieces for my hospital bag which I am hoping to organise in the next couple of weeks. It has been a huge weight off my mind as I was working myself into a ridiculous state constantly changing my mind about what to get and from where.

Now I am just focussing on the house and contentedly nesting :D

  • Rummer - happy your 20 wk scan went well.

Is anyone else really out of breath? Even just getting up off the sofa and waking to the kitchen I'm knackered!! I'm already done in for the day and all I've done is made breakfast, put the washing out, had a shower, got dress and walked to the shop to get a newspaper (about 500 meters away) Home now and I'm zonked!! I'm not the fittest person in the world anyway but I could walk to the shop and back pre pregnancy!!!!

I have really grown over night, proper sticking out now with my little bump.

    have a great Saturday, x x

  • Popped into Mothercare this morning, some nice Blooming Marvellous clothes in the sale - however I'd just been into primark and got some nice dresses for £5 each to wear with my leggings!! I signed up to a free parent to be event in Mothercare in October - basically just an open evening but with experts giving demonstrations and all mums to be get a goody bag, refreshments, money off vouchers etc. Worth checking if theres one in your local store! Also got my free change bag from Boots this morning with a £2.50 pack of nappies - bargain!! It's pretty good too, be great to keep in the car as a spare bag. Loving all the freebies I've got so far!!!!
  • Afternoon all,

just catching up on things. Might seem like an odd question but...when have people started showing? Got a new dress for work's annual black tie dinner about two weeks ago, got it a couple of sizes up (was planning on only one size up but my boobs were already huge and couldn't breathe so had to go another one up!) but there is definitely room for growth in my bust and bump space...the dinner is in three weeks so I will be just turning 17weeks and would quite like bump to make it worth having bought the dress bigger!

Got loads to do this afternoon (mostly 'mount iron me' which is taunting me next to the ironing board in the spare room!) but my get up and go got up and went it appears after stopping for a spot of lunch!

How do you get the free changing bag Squirrel?

Just eaten another garlic bread baguette & sausage roll for lunch.

I haven't bought anything yet. I'm a bit scared! I assumed I'd go crazy after the scan but I haven't.
  • claire16c - sign up to boots parenting club and they send the vouchers through the post, I got mine yesterday :-), think it took about 3 weeks for my vouchers to come through. x x
