Sooo... how concerned should I be that little red spots have appeared up and down my legs this evening? (There's also a little swelling but I did fly last thurs)

Wondering how much I should worry about it? Although, at this point, I'm in bed and thinking I may as well see if they're still there in the morning and call the docs if they are...? :o

    23+6

Could it be heat spots? If you're worried then call your midwife this morning and ask her for her opinion. There's just no point sitting at home worrying with things during pregnancy, the stress does nothing to help either Mum or baby :) Hope it goes away quickly.

I know I'm over 24w now, but I don't want to leave this thread it's so friendly and the big girl thread is scary. I don't want to think about the fact there's just over 100 days until I get to meet my little one, it's too soon!!!

TL - she's obviously playing him up already ;)

Dh says they're on my belly now. But the lower part of bump where I can't see  they're like burst blood vessel spots, like when I get my blood pressure taken and I get red dots on my arm after, but all up the front of my legs and now my belly, with no real pressure having been applied...? Waiting for 9am to ring midwife...

Not heat rash, no hot baths, no new products...

But I'm 24 weeks today :D and MiniZee is still squirming and kicking :D

P.s. MiniZee did that to Dh loads too, teamlowe, still does!

I'm sure it's just a funny pregnancy thing BZ, but best to get it checked so you're not worrying. :) I had lots of little spots over my belly last night but I figured it was down to the aftersun or something. :o

Great news about reaching V-Day though! :T

Back at work today and I don't want to be here! :o Weighed in this morning and I've 'only' put on 3lbs over the last 2 weeks which isn't half as bad as I feared. :) I'm passing that off as baby and not overindulgence too! ;)

BZ hope you get to speak to the MW soon and its nothing to worry about.
Pregnancy can do some weird and wonderful things to your body!!

con so sorry to hear about the twin, but very happy for you that there is a healthy baby in there.

BaileyB must be such a hard time for you and your partner. I'm not sure if I have any good advise, apart from the make sure you talk it through together and ask for extra support from your midwife if you need it. Its not an easy decision to make either way, and I'm not sure I'd want to risk an amnio. However, I can also see the point about feeling more prepared if you know. How accurate is the amnio? Could you do the amnio and still be left with a feeling of uncertainty?

On much trivial matters, I'm wearing my big comfy maternity tights I bought in a strop yday in boots. Soooo much more comfy!! So money well spent I think!
I also started a pg yoga class last night. Was nice to do some exercise and meet some other ladies. They even break for tea and cake near the end of the session! :D

Oooh I really need some maternity tights sjlou! Going to have to order some online as there are no shops nearby that actually stock them! So miffed as I have/had (don't know if it's expired now?!) a voucher for money off at Boots but I couldn't find any in 3 stores! Also on the lookout for coloured maternity tights, do these exist or are preggos only allowed to wear black?!

Its the testing for downs syndrome, 'cubs' stands for something but I don't remember what lol. Think some call it the nuchal fold? but my midwife says cubs.

If it does come back with a higher chance of DS it won't change anything as such but I would like to be prepared which is why I have opted to have it done. I was a carer and worked with many children with DS so feel it's something I could cope with, OH says he isn't as sure but understands it would be up to me.

I'm feeling much better today, felt awful the last few days with a headache but it seems to have totally lifted, perhaps it was stress/worry!

I wonder what it stands for I've only heard nuchal test before!

We got the measurement but as it was good we declined the blood test as I was scared of getting a 'number' but not a yes or no. I feel the same way it doesn't really scare me but I'm an indecisive person and not good with uncertainty! :)

Fab news Claire. How are you now?

Feeling nauseous all day especially bad at night & still vomiting a couple of times each day, but 5 days ago I started to eat a few normal bits of food & soup at lunch so at least I'm not just living off breakfast cereal & cakes anymore!

Big z hope the rash goes away! I don't think it would be anything serious as then you'd probably feel ill too but sounds pretty annoying so best to get it checked.

In theory I'm "full term" (37 wks) exactly one week before Christmas...the idea we could have him/her here for Christmas is amazing and terrifying! I've always just gone with the assumption that first babies are overdue though so although I'm due 8th Jan I'm half expecting it to be more like the 22nd :p I would kind of prefer the baby to have a birthday further away from Christmas, though if I do go over I'm sure I'll be begging it to come out ;) Having said all that, my mum had 5 kids and the only one she went over with was the 2nd by just a few days. Don't think sister went over either.

Re 'rash': Midwife thinks it's probably hormone related but to call back/see gp if it gets worse etc. Pretty much what I thought she'd say but you have to check, don't you :)

Oooooh big scary thread... 24 wks...in theory that makes me 6 months pg, but then by that same theory, at 16 wks left, I've got 4 months left. Someone got the maths cockeyed with this 40 wk/9 month pg thing ;)

    24wk :D

They were 3 for 2, so not as expensive are they normally are! And they did have patterned/ footless/ coloured! I think there was a dark red in store might be more online.

squirrel said you can get them in h&m too, might be more reasonably priced.

  • One more week and I'll be off to the other thread :)

Woke up today with a bad throat (joy's of cold weather lol) phoned the midwife to see what I can take, honey and lemon is the go to thing and Locket's are safe apparently :)

She thought it was lovely that I actually took time to check what is ok and what isn't :D
