Claire - crampy stretchy pains are completely normal, freaked me out at first. But our uterus is made up of 3 different muscle layers, the bottom layer goes around the uterus, the middle is a bit like blobs and the top layer is top to bottom ones. So if you think like that then some stretchy pain is to be expected as baby grows and we're not used to using those muscles.

I have heartburn :( I haven't had heartburn before, it's not very nice and makes my throat feel weird.

Thanks Kerri. Google also tells me it's normal & I had pain at 9 weeks too but this is just worrying me as everything does.

When I had a missed mc I never had any pain but I guess we just associate pain to be bad.

Scan today, 12+4. There was another empty sac so they did say it had started out as a twin pregnancy. To go back for cubs scan. My maternity notes are a scrawl and it's annoying me that I can't understand some of it :( She did say all looks healthy and good heartbeat etc

Lovely scan pic Con. What's a cub scan?

I'm so sorry it was a twin pregnancy but also happy for you have a lovely baby in there.

Yay had the email from travel insurance company to say we're getting our money back due to cancelling our holiday due to my sickness! So just lost £150 of excess. So straight into savings for baby stuff!

Its the testing for downs syndrome, 'cubs' stands for something but I don't remember what lol. Think some call it the nuchal fold? but my midwife says cubs.

If it does come back with a higher chance of DS it won't change anything as such but I would like to be prepared which is why I have opted to have it done. I was a carer and worked with many children with DS so feel it's something I could cope with, OH says he isn't as sure but understands it would be up to me.

I'm feeling much better today, felt awful the last few days with a headache but it seems to have totally lifted, perhaps it was stress/worry!

Sooo... how concerned should I be that little red spots have appeared up and down my legs this evening? (There's also a little swelling but I did fly last thurs)

Wondering how much I should worry about it? Although, at this point, I'm in bed and thinking I may as well see if they're still there in the morning and call the docs if they are...? :o

BigZ I've just looked at my notes at the 'important symptoms' bit and it's not on that list so I wouldn't be too worried but give your midwife a bell anyway, it's probably just another 'isn't pregnancy weird' thing

have you been using any different products? just thinking if you've been using aftersun or nair you might be having a bit of a reaction as you're skin's more sensitive

do they look like those splotches you can get after you've had a hot bath? maybe it's just your body's interpretation of 'veins become more visible' lol

Con what a lovely clear pic, sorry to hear the second one didn't make it but yay for the healthy one :D

Claire as things progress you'll get lots of pains in lots of areas, my newest one is bottom of left ribs, clearly little lady has decided to make more room for herself over there
I have learnt that when i go to the loo in the morning i have to stand back up slooowly otherwise i get a wave of pain from my thighs to my belly button which freaks me out lol

thought i could feel kicks from the outside so called DH over to see if he could and the little madam stopped kicking! I was like hello, I interrupted Daddy playing GTA V, the least you could do is cooperate! :rotfl:
