Evening all
I've not had time to read the thread yet so ((((hugs)))) to those in need. JackieG - hope today went well!
Very busy day in work, recruiting for new team of young people. Sadly only 9 turned up. 7 have got places, 1 was a no (very odd guy!), and another decided it wasn't for them. I need 15 ideally so need to find 8 more  Not great but I have 2 weeks yet so finger's crossed!
After work went out for meal with the girl's for one of their birthdays, went to Chiquitos which was nice, had voucher for 25% off too
I'm knackered now. I had a very disturbed sleep last night, lots of bizarre dreams. Off to cwtch on sofa and try to relax then have early night.
Have good evening all

If your feeling a bit of a hermit this weekend then get a bottle of wine and crach on the sofa with your OH and forget all about money and the wrold outside:j:beer::j works for me:j:j
Seconded. I can vouch for the fact this is AMAZING. Want now, but I shall have to settle for doing it by myself for this weekend, and substituting duvet and cosy jimjams for OH cuddles.0 -
Evening All
Well done JackieG, glad it went well, hope all goes well next week!
Went to see The King's Speech last night and really enjoyed it, Colin Firth is strangely quite nice! He did play a really good part and I think he deserved the award he got. Halight I think it's time for a photo!
Not much OS here. Went to work then to Hospice and then home. Just had a glass of wine and a sachet of micro rice for tea. Must try harder tomorrow!
Good News - DS1 and GF are engaged. DS had bought the ring before they went away to OZ and proposed when they were away on their own and GF was completely surprised but accepted. I really like GF and am over the moon! Wedding wont be for a while so I hope they enjoy themselves for a while and wish them every happiness!!
Take care all. XX0 -
Aww, congrats to Camelot, Camelot's DS1, and DS' GF!0

Hello everybody,
Very cold here again and no water working except for an outside tap....OH doesn't seem to be able to get on with fixing it, so rang 'the man' and he is coming in the morning....I have an appointment at 12 and would like to have a shower first so hope he means morning and not early afternoon!
Had stuffed pork steak with turnip (swede) and roast potatoes for dinner, really enjoyed it, pork was on offer in butcher's yesterday so bought 3.
Can't do any washing nor use DW so am just sparing things....we will be using silver cutlery soon as stainless steel stuff seems to be missing....maybe will get to wash it to-morrow as hate the hassle of the bl**dy silver stuff.
JackieG...so glad your day went well....told you didn't I??
JackieO...Ouch! Not sure how much our tyres cost each but we only have a titchy car so they would be cheaper than yours. Hope that the dentist's visit is not too expensive.
We have had a general election announced for March 11th....difficult to decide who to vote for this time as they have mostly shown themselves to be self seeking so-and-sos since the recession bit!
Going out for lunch to-morrow to an old fashioned hotel....cousin I am meeting is very fussy eater so will only go for traditional stuff, think I will just have small meal and have dinner later on with OH.
Hugs to all who are not feeling good for whatever reason, stay warm and safe

Morning my lovelies
Gorgeous sunshine this morning which made the frost look all glittery and pretty
No major OS plans today. Want to make some bread and I need a kick up the 'arris to get some housework done later. Been a bit slack in that area
Jackieg - Hope your first day back goes well my lovely xx
imataloss - enjoy your trip into Brum this morning. I went in the other day and have to say I've not missed my daily commute there at all
OK had better get on.
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.
My trip went well thanks. I don`t miss that commute everyday either. Can`t believe it did it for 28 years :eek:0
