    Afternoon all,

home early today, walked dog, tidied kitchen. OH is not sure when he'll get home so won't start dinner till around 5ish.

Got 2 more debt collector letters today (they're never ending!!) have been waiting for them though (they were confirming identities just before xmas) so sending my SOA to them this afternoon. Have my new debt busting folder for all correspondance to go through :D

Dinner. OH is going to have a curry made with the last of the hot curry paste we've got. I'm thinking fish fingers for me, i did defrost a curry i made with ready made sauce and quorn but last time i had it it was rank so i don't think i'll eat it. IF not i've got tuna pasta bake or lasagna hm ready meals to chose from too.

    Hi,
Im glad that things are moveing along with your debt busting:T
Have you looked into claiming some of your charges back? If you dont fancy doing it yourself there are companys out there that will do it for you be they will take a cut of the money they get back. Some take more then others so if you do this make sure you shop around and dont pay any money up front. do the no win no fee.

Havent read the whole thread yet but I hope everyone is well and has had a good day.

I was very good and did a meal plan before I ordered the shopping, I
am trying to be a lot more organised with money this year.

General housework today, wm on again etc.

Very icy here, looking forward to snuggling on the sofa with DH
and our monster dog and watching tv :D

    Hugs xx
  • Hya everyone,
Wooooooooooooo, this thread is going places I haven't seen here before!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have read through since coming home from work and can't remember much at all. Hugs to all in need.
Got back from work, put BM on and made Rogan with the frozen left over pork and gravy from Sunday.
Test tastes are great, so will cool in fridge and reheat tomorrow to have with chicken tikka and gobi aloo saag (hm from freezer).
The lentil lasagne from the freezer tonight was OK but not as good as freshly made. Some things work better than others.
JackieG well done for having the determination to keep going. Onwards and upwards.
Caring thoughts to all, Silver x

Bank charges and the like or other things? I've not really done much digging into it but will give it a google.

I'm in a great mood at the moment, absolutely loving life right now! :T OH was home by 5pm today as tractor broke, i wasn't expecting him in till 7 or 8 so that was a nice surprise. (execpt he was poo spreading with the bloomin tractor broke down so had to get dirty trying to fix it. he STANK!!!!)

I opted for scrambled egg and baked beans for dinner. Not too much of an apetite today. No idea what to do for lunch tomorrow either!

I was supposed to go to a friends house tomorrow, but i'm in a bit of a hermit mood so have cancelled, she's working the next day anyway so it should be fine.

Hi guys. Colin Firth eh? He is rather yummy in a certain way I must say, Landlady has just been to see King's Speech and has been going on about how good it is and I should go. Well I might see it at some point, but I'm not going to the cinema, it'd be cheaper to buy the DVD when it comes out and I have already spent far too much this month!

Speaking of the spending, I've booked our hotel for a nice mini holiday in April, couple of nights in York (and done a couple of other jobs I had on my list, that required spending now to save later). It's only a Travelodge but in the past they've serviced our requirements fine, and while it'd be nice to go with somewhere not in a chain, I couldn't find anything that would be remotely as low priced and we're not exactly rich!

Interesting developments occurred this week too. I'd started looking about for another job, the idea being I could do with something that pays a bit better and if possible closer to Boyfriend so we can see each other a bit more/more easily. Had in fact seen a suitable one based in his very same town and applied, thinking probably nothing would come of it. Only I got a phonecall this week... I have an interview

I had thought to start looking now as it would likely take months before I even got so much as one interview. Apparently not! Now I've been all of a flap and panicking about whether it's a good idea after all. I do like the job I have, do I really want to leave, what if this job is horrible and I hate it, what if it's too soon really to move and if I do and then things go wrong between me and Boyfriend, what if I leave this job to start another then get laid off and end up with no job at all etcetcetc... Aargh! It all seems to be happening just a bit too fast!

    Lol Halight!

JackieG just came on tonight before getting the kids to bed to say I am so happy for you that your first day went well. Hope you enjoy your short hours and get a bit of satisfaction at being back at work.
