Sending good wishes to jackieg, I really hope today goes well.
Just watching that daft moo from the green party Caroline Lucas saying we should live like people in the war :rotfl: We are way ahead of her are'nt we peeps.
Got to go and get some more eggs, salad, mayo and cream today so I will try to get enough to last until next Thursday so that I can have a few NSD's next week cos it isn't pay day till then.

Morning All,
Cold and misty start here. DS3 just off to school insisting he doesn't need a coat Brrr, what is it about boys and coats. His father is exactly the same.
Got some great wallpaper for DS2 bedroom yesterday from B & Q. Should have been £17.99 and reduced to £5 a roll. It's lovely and classy with a gold cream and mustard stripe. Will just do one wall and then line the others and paint. We also need to fit a door between his room and the ensuite. It's been freezing this winter and DH thinks being able to close the bathroom off will make it warmer IYKWIM. Will also fit a new carpet and blind. So busy decorating this weekend.
Wondering if I should register as a tutor and do a couple of days from home. It would bring in extra money and would still give me lots of time at home with the family. Will do some investigations this morning.
Will get ready and have a walk to the post office and a couple of phone calls to make.
Should be another NSD. Omlettes for tea as I have a glut of eggs. Will prepare a couple of different fillings and people can choose. Nice and easy:)
Catch up later J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Yes I watched her too and thought the same. However it would be a great idea for a magazine - "Make Do and Mend". Hints and tips/ articles with lots of lovely photos!
Good Luck Jackie G with work today xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I just used Gillyx (page 4 on baking made easy thread) recipe and made my first ever 'non-disastrous-cover-it-with-custard-and-pretend-they-were-meant-to-be-desert' brownies. Perfect, squidgy and delicious!:T:T:T:T:T:TFather Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

Good Morning all
Is that what is was about? Was at the gym and saw the pictures but there was no sound/subtitles.
Busy day ahead I have to go to a work meeting in Birmingham. Have to find something to wear though. I`ve been working from home for 6 years and don`t buy work clothes anymore.
Will load DW before going out. Have a huge pile of ironing to do so will just have to leave that until tonight.
Lunch - will be a working one we usually just grab a sandwich. Sometimes it`s provided or we buy our own.
Tea - Roast chicken. DH has said he may make some vegetable soup when he gets home from work so we can have that too.
Have a good day everyone0 -
Gers: enjoy your river walk today. It sounds nice.
About your scaffolding........ on one of the streets we walk to nursery every day, a lot of the houses are having their gutters done so one after another is having scaffolding up. My 3 year old, every single time, just looks up at them in awe, and begs me to get a house like that as they look so pretty!!!!! She just loves the scaffolding! She's been doing it for weeks now. LOL
That made me smile - it's so lovely to be reminded of a childs' eye view of life. Things we take for granted or are cynical about are so different.
Thanks0 -
morning!
Good luck to JackieG!
not much to report here , day off:j got to take DS2 to work later and drop his gf off on the way. Dinner is whatever we can find in the freezer - shopping this evening when the yellow stickers are out in Morrisons as we pick up DS2 from work.
