    Mortgage-free Glee!
Morning All. been missing for a day or so trying desperately to get my essay done (due in tomorrow morning! Did you get yours finished JackieO? I think you mentioned writer's block the other day! have finally finished looking through books and now have the plan mapped out in my head - just need to get it all down on paper now! Had a really productive day yesterday - I planned 30minute slots and managed to get done three jobs I'd been putting off for months. ( I knew I'd do them in preference to the essay so was using some psychology on myself!! - it worked!!)
BM is on plus TD I'm afraid. We didn't have frost last night, woke up to drizzle again, which also meant a very sticky doggie walk round the edge of the field.
DH is organing all food today to give me a free run at writing - soup for lunch I think, plus a lamb and butter bean casserole for supper which I think originally came from a Family Circle mag in the 70's!
This is a well-earned ( and carefully timed!) short break or I'll go mad.
JackieG - I gather you're back at work today? I do hope it's going well and that you won't be too shattered at the end of it.
Oh dear - there goes the buzzer - must go. Hope you all have good day. Take care of yourselves.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

Good luck with the essays folks!
Good luck JackieG- am sure work will be just fine and dandy! Thinking of you.
Cold here. Off to scrape the car (yes - at 11.20!) to take DH to work then round to DD's. Home after that to do some housework I';m afraid.
Not much to report in today.
    Keep warm

Afternoon everyone! It sounds like you have all been very organised early birds today...I wish I could say the same!

ally18 - I don't know if you have any in the cupboard but I find that jam or marmalade spread on stale scones/hot x buns/teacakes before you pop them in a bread and butter pudding makes them really flavourful and compliments the fruit in them. Yum!

rosyred - I always find River Island is poor quality and cuts for the price you pay. It never lasts as longh as you'd expect for the price!

I haven't got much to report here. Work is still quite sour faced with all the cuts and discussions about what/how to speak to the press about it. I've got to the point now where I'm counting down the days nearly until I finish. I finish in April and am already dreaming of summer and time at home to OS properly and volunteering so I'm following my passion rather than working hard and feeling like I'm on the wrong path!

I'm off to the cinema tonight with a friend to see a free preview screening of The Fighter. We only want to go to ogle Christian Bale, definitely the light relief I need! Free is definitely my favourite price too.

I didn't have time to get a lunch to take with me today so I had an expensive meal deal from Boots. As I handed over £10 (I needed to buy mascara and my boss's lunch too) I kicked myself for wasting that money on a sandwich, crisps and drinks. Funny that because I used to do it sometimes 3 or 4 times a week without batting an eyelid! I did get a lovely mug for the bf in Boots 75% sale - £1.25. Now he'll have his own one at mine instead of having to pick through our assortment of pink/flowery/daddy mugs!

Been busy bee in last couple of hours. Swept up excess leaves in garden front and back, pulled out old broccoli plants as ground is no longer frozen solid, cleaned downstairs windows inside AND out. Phew just had a coffee as back is now complaining.
Might push the duster round the living room if I can be bothered or I might do a little bit more of my accounts.

DD has just arrived with the cutest smile. She's a b*gger for helping herself to their yoghurts so she's just got one from the fridge and stood in front of me batting her eyes :rotfl: little monkey

Tea tonight should be vegetable chilli and I've done nothing to prep it :o Normally do it in SC so may have to bung it in le crueset in the oven instead.

Tiredmum - crossing fingers that antib's work this time x

rozmister - mmmmmm Christian Bale well worth the ogle :D

jayward - hope it all goes well on Sunday x

NPM - sorry that things are hard for you just now. Hope you feel lighter in spirit very soon. You say you would 'only be moaning' but sometimes it is good to say/ write things and you feel you have shared them. We certainly wouldn't think of it as moaning!
JackieO - we had an unexpected £400 bill for the car a few weeks ago. Cars are great until they need something! My DH always says to be grateful to your tyres as they are the only things between you and the road. That's all very well for general wear and tear replacement but it's annoying for it to be a puncture.
Taken DD out to sort out some jobs and things, back now and had a poached egg on toast for a late lunch. Dogs have been out again in glorious sunshine and I'm off to tackle the kitchen. Have a parcel to post so will pop out with that then I hope that's me in for the evening (apart from quick dog walks) as it's very cold out there!
Will have a look back in here to see if jackieG reports in later!

Dinner. OH is going to have a curry made with the last of the hot curry paste we've got. I'm thinking fish fingers for me, i did defrost a curry i made with ready made sauce and quorn but last time i had it it was rank so i don't think i'll eat it. IF not i've got tuna pasta bake or lasagna hm ready meals to chose from too.
