Ive seen recipes that use mincemeat instead of dried fruit in a fruit cake (think it might have been a Mary Berry recipe).
My favourite is to use it as the filling in baked apples !0 -
i had some left and made an apple crumble - and spread the mincemeat over the apples before topping with crumble - mmmmmmmmmm custard oh yes thankyou very much lol x0

i've kept a half used jar of mincemeat in the fridge for over a year, it just crystalized a bit on top. after a mix and a bit of scotch added it loosened up and i used it in more pies.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

In the grocery challenge (page one) there is a recipe for plain muffin Arran, I would use this with a couple of tablespoons of micemeat mixed through just before you mix the wet and dry together.It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window
