    Would be nice as a filling for baked apples - core applies, fill with mincemeat and bake - lovely with a dollop of custard:)

    Thriftlady made mincemeat muffins on her blog the other day, they were just a normal plain muffin mix with a couple of spoonsful of mincemeat stirred through, they looked delicious.

  • just my problem this weekend.I am going to mix the mincemeat with a cooked bramley apple and top it with a quick crumble mix. hope that helps

    I saw a plain biscuit recipe the other day but with a couple of tablespoons of mincemeat stirred into the mixture.. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds nice..

    Core baking apples and use the mincemeat to stuff them then bake. Yummy:)

    If there is alcohol in the mincemeat then it should keep for years, in or out of the fridge. May dry out a little and need a spoonful of alcohol stirring in before using.

    Mincemeat also works -
    between two slices of sponge cake, heated in microwave with pierced clingfilm over the dish, serve with custard poured over
    dolloped over smashed meringues and then cream poured over (sort of not Eton Mess)
    Use puff pastry to make Not Eccles Cakes
