Just doing my forms . We estimated 9000 but only earnt 5128 due to other half coming out of work , what will happen ??

Leaving aside your estimation for the time being , what was your actual income figures from 2009/2010?

This is the figure which will be used at the min so if you could post this up it would be helpful.

It depends what your tax credits last year paid on estimated or previous earnings.

i would not have thought you will be due any money as 2010-2011 tax credits would have been based on 2009-2010 income as your 2010-2011 was less that £25000 more which was the disregard.

    Hi
We Have 3 Kids, Im on Incapacity benefit and my wife had 2 part time jobs that worked out about 20 hours a week, and we got Child tax and working Tax credits.
Now my wife only has 1 job and basic hours are only 7 hours a week but with overtime this can go up to 17 hours per week.

My question is -Where do we stand with with the 16 hour min for working tax credit, will we lose it ?

    Hi

Does anyone know the tax credit situation where a baby (2nd child) was born near the end of March 2011 and we only get the family element anyway? Would the 'baby addition' of £545 pa be paid pro-rota from their birth date until 6 April ie its abolition date?

    Thanks
    James

WTC is only payable if you are regularly working on average 16 hours per week.

If there is a week were you work below the 16 hours because you are a) off on sick leave or b) on a days paid holiday then you are still classed as "working" . However , overtime cannot be included in the calculation towards the 16 hours if it is not a regular thing which you do every week.

Does anyone know, for myself wtc single person over 25 yr old, I have to work 30 hours or more, these 30 hours are agreed in my contract

With current health issues, looking to get things sorted, and with intention of taking one day of per week, unpaid leave, but agreed with management, and will only be working 24 hours per week

Is it still possib;le for my tax credits still to be paid,

Hi Joe - you say that you have health issues. Are you in receipt of DLA?

If you ARE receiving DLA then I believe you only have to work 16 hours to be elegible for wtc.
