I phoned up hoping for a response like this !! :D wish I had not as they got really cagey with me - he read my notes and said he could disclose nothing and I would have to have it in writing etc etc - I am sure it is to do with child care.

Our income went from £18000 with both my husband and myself working, to £8500. Our TC's only went up by £12 per week, and our potential payment is only £550 odd, considering some people's income has dropped by a couple of thousand pounds, and they're getting 50% odd back in potential payments, does this sound right?

    hi,

our tax credits went from £19k to £17k this year and we never got lump sum, weird system lol

Just out of curiousity Kayleigh , what was your ACTUAL income for 2009-2010 as this is the figure which matters when determining if you will receive a lumpsum of not , not the estimate figure you used.

WOW thats great, our tax credits last year was based on £19k and this year we earned £17k and never got a lump sum, your lucky!!

    Happy spending :)

What happened on 13 May exactly? Is that the date you received you renewal form from the tax credit office?

You really need to break up your post into coherent sentences.

I received my renewal form sometime in May.

I received my P60 on Tuesday of this week so I have completed my Tax Credits from and posted it back to them, today.

I don't have any qualifying childcare, nor did I have last year. I have never been asked, though, to send a copy of a P60 or any other proof of income/expense.

Ive never done this before so Im finding it a little confusing. Ive received our renewal pack and have our P60's at hand.
On the P60s it says Pay amount then Tax deducted. Do I deduct the tax from the amount? I dont see anywhere on the renewal form for tax deductions.
This is probably a stupid post to some but Im really confused and baby brain doesnt help :rotfl:
Im also starting maternity leave in the next couple of weeks so should I put a note in with the form? Not sure what I will be paid as Ive had nothing from work to say anything.

    Thanks for any help.
