We got a lumpsum payment of just over £1,200 and our new weekly payments have increased by £30.
Just out of curiousity Kayleigh , what was your ACTUAL income for 2009-2010 as this is the figure which matters when determining if you will receive a lumpsum of not , not the estimate figure you used.
it was the same earned £5000 maybe a little more, and estimated at £70000 -
Our income went from £18000 with both my husband and myself working, to £8500. Our TC's only went up by £12 per week, and our potential payment is only £550 odd, considering some people's income has dropped by a couple of thousand pounds, and they're getting 50% odd back in potential payments, does this sound right?0

What does HMRC classify an Ill Health Retirement lump sum (under £30k) as in relation to WTC renewal ?
ie) Does it go on the form under EARNINGS AS AN EMPLOYEE or OTHER INCOME or, because it is under £30k - do I mention it ?0 -
Hi there, My last years payments was based on 09-10 wage which i was on Maternity leave most of the year with low wage, then I went back to work for a year and now I am on Maternity leave again since April. How do I inform tax credits that my wage is a lot lower this year & will it make a differance??
Also I read that you have been having to send documents off etc? How do you know if you have to do this or not and does it happen to a lot of people! What a faffy having to find it all?
I havent recived my Renewal pack yet but it all seams a muddle every year!
Thank you0 -
You can call them up and give an estimate for the year. If you earn more if you don;t inform them of the change then you could have an overpayment. As long as you call them and keep them updated of any changes then there shouldn't be any problem. Your payments should increase if your income is lower than last year.
The documents people are having to send is for those who have childcare claims as TC are checking to ensure they're correct.
If you have to do this then TC will be in touch to let you know.Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

Yes and when they ask about child care what are they asking for so i am ready if need be?0

@holliepop from what I have read people are being asked to send in invoices for the year, not sure about anything else just from what I've read on the forums.
@TicTacToe - as I've said on your other threads, I didn't have childcare in my claim, I renewed by post on the 11th and have yet to receive any paperwork. Thos with childcare do seem to be taking longer than others but not in all cases.Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011
