Thanks - my income will be about £5k difference bonuses permitting so guess due to the £10k limit now perhaps should say.

At least it will be all correct if not and I over estimate this year it would be better.

    Thanks again
  • I renewed last night I had to give last years earning and an estimate for this year. He said not to call till after 18th may and I would receive one or two amended awards in about 4 weeks. I'd like to know what next payment would be so will prob call after 18th may

Thanks I wasnt asked about this years income, I was on phone for 30 mins and it was nearly 8.00pm so perhaps she forgot.

I dont know - she did say it was renewed. I will call in few weeks if payments not changed.

    Thanks again

I renewed my claim this evening. my 7th year of claiming tax credits and i've never been asked to estimate my income for the next year

last year i had all my new paperwork out within the week along with the ammended payments. Bit more complicated this year as i think i'm due for underpayment money as i'm on maternity leave.

If you dont think you'll get more than 10k extra then why not give it 3 or 6 months, see how your income is going and then inform them? if you earn under that limit you wont have to pay it back

within 14 days and dont call. i think they've dumped me :(

half the country will be ringing to renew so they dont want those who have renewed to keep calling and block the phone lines

They're pretty good at sending the notices out. double check it and use the calculator in the tax credits website to see what it says you should get.

no, you don't. when i added my son to my claim in january the nice lady at tax credits told me that. She gave me the option of working it out then or waiting til now. I decided it was easier to wait til i had my P60 in front of me. Problem is my work made me take my years holidays before my leave officially started so i had to figure out when it officially began, nightmare!

But it means i should get a nice amount of underpayment back to clear off my overdraft. hurrah!
