  • Nope no phone number in the username.

Yeah perhaps foolish but to people who arent technological sound they wouldnt really know that kind of data would be stored on it. Plus there is no warnings or advisory notes supplied with the units that say dont discard in the bin.

What would I do with them over my life span just keep them all?
  • How's it going now?

I would not have thrown it in a bin - that is for sure, I would personally look to comply with WEEE.

If it were mine I would have just obtained another power supply for it - I would need one to at least clear the data off of it with a factory reset, or to prove it no longer worked.

....But like you say some people are not 'technical' and such simple common sense alludes them. These folk often end up getting called 'victims' later down the line c21pbGUuZ2lm_2_dGFsa3RhbGs%3D_bXNl.gif

I can assure you it would have had your whole log in, possible mac address mappings for clients on your lan, wireless credentials, details of any port triggering or forwarding etc, all of use to miscreants.

Glad you've got your Huawei working as it should - it's amazing what a little effort can do :-)

Nice sarcastic post, so I will also do the same. Thanks everso much, your help was everything I needed, and more.

Dont bother posting again, go and "help" someone else.
