But I firmly believe in people power, if enough people complained, we might start to see the law being enforced a bit more practically.

    I fully agree.
The bit about the speed limit being a maximum, and not compulsory would be a good starting point.

If you accelerate to gain speed you use more petrol, it stands to reason!
Is there another way to gain speed ?

    .

Indeed, perhaps we should all campaign to have an attitude test for drivers.

    :D

sometimes you can initiate the flux capacitor but you have to normally of got to 88mph before hand and thats illegal

on the subject of gearing i have an audi 80 and a a4 the audi80 will do the same rpm at 80 as the crappy a4 does at about 55
  • All our cars are diesel, dont mind what price petrol is.
  • Thats because they are limited to do so - Im sure they would go faster is they could but they could be more dangerous if going faster

You could get our Daf speedo off the clock before it came into scope of being limited........ (not of course that i'd know that lol)

  • I have to admit that recently i have taken the lead out of my right boot, i love driving fast always have done, but giving my old Primera the 'beans' you can watch the fuel gauge drop down .........

Not quite the picture of passive retreat to aggression really, is it; more passive aggressive really. ;)

LOL, it happens to me too. I am six foot two and I work out a bit. I love the reaction from the fuming beggars who shake their fists, slam on the brakes or toot their horns until they explode, when they see me at the lights or overtake me, their demeanor oddly changes.

Six foot three here, 20 stone odd, never used to get many issues either esp when i had owned landies ........

Inactive, sorry, I'm in NI - aren't L drivers restricted to 45mph?!! I know you don't have R plates (displayed for 1 year after passing, and also limited to 45) but I thought that L drivers were restricted to 45, no?! That's mad!
