I drive fast because my fuel is paid for by UK Taxpayers Plc. :p:D Remember: We're all in this together!

    Never.

I drive according to the road conditions. If the guy behind is an impatient moron, that's his problem. Not mine.

I, too, drive to the road conditions. One of these is the prevailing maximum speed limit.

Lots of other people seem to do the same.

Every once in a while, you'll get an impatient driver behind. I've even been flashed and gesticulated at, when slowing down for a red light.

I just pull in and let them pass. The one who I then saw stopped by the side of the road behind a police car made up for the red light incident. The universe likes balance.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

But one is likely to be charged with careless or inconsiderate driving, if they are driving at forty miles per hour in lane two of the motorway, don't you agree?
That's why you drive in the inside lane :D

So, all thosoe lorries, vans, cars towing caravans are just.......what?

Sorry, I don't understand your question? Surely the vehicles you have mentioned have different speed limits to obey? My own opinion is people should, if safe to do so, travel at the speed limit. If they don't, that's fine, I don't get stressed about it, I just overtake. I have quite a powerful car so overtaking is safe and easy, they can tootle, I can reach the speed limit.

Thats crazy, so in theory you could tootle along the motorway at 15mph if you like!

Surely if people can't drive to the speed limit (when it is safe to do so) they probably don't have much confidence on the road. I always travel at the limit when conditions are right, I can't understand why you would travel at 50mph on the motorway for no reason?

I don't suffer from road rage though, I just overtake when I can and have a chuckly to myself.
I've plenty of confidence on the roads I just feel that by driving a little slower I'll save fuel & arrive at my destination happy & a little less stressed!

If you got out of your car acting the big man, I'd laugh in your face. Trust me.

Not quite the picture of passive retreat to aggression really, is it; more passive aggressive really. ;)
I once hit a guy from behind by accident at a set of traffic lights, just a small bump, there was more damage to my bumper than his car. The guy pulls up his hand brake and throws open his door, gets out foaming at the mouth with anger because I'd tapped him by accident. So, as you do after having an accident, I got out of my car, as soon as he saw the size of me he went quiet. I could physically see him shrink. He was a decent guy once he'd calmed down.

So yeah, I'd laugh at anyone, and keep laughing at them, even if they did want to be billy big !!!!!!!!.

LOL, it happens to me too. I am six foot two and I work out a bit. I love the reaction from the fuming beggars who shake their fists, slam on the brakes or toot their horns until they explode, when they see me at the lights or overtake me, their demeanor oddly changes.

    Which is the point.
