  • ive been pulled off for going 30mph in a 50mph

i was given a warning for over cautious driving

i was doing 30 becuase the road was full of pot holes and it was peeing it down and i hadnt been there before and i was in my parents car so didnt want to break it.

I was breathalized, the car was searched, tires checked, light checked and given a producer. he also decided the exhasut had a mount missing so i took a car mat out the car and threw it in front of him and told him to get on his knees and have a look. the whole thing lasted about 30 minutes with the producer to do as well which takes about 30 minutes i did it at 1:55am the next day 5 minutes before the station shut just to be more annoying.

so i reckon 50 on a motor is dangerous if the police think 30 in a 50 is bad

How can 50 be dangerous, but 56 not?

The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

Who here has driven below the speed limit just to aggravate the guy behind?

I know for a fact that depending on what you drive, the driver in front may or may not drive to cause an obstruction.

    Never.

I drive according to the road conditions. If the guy behind is an impatient moron, that's his problem. Not mine.

Right, so someone cuts me up I am within my rights to punch them in the face?

I'd love to see that stand up in court.

There are some occasions when one driver will deliberately bait another. Driving erratically, stopping in the middle of the carriageway, shouting at them, make profane gestures, being intimidating etc. There have been some occasions when I have had to sound my horn, because a driver crosses lanes without looking. That driver takes offense and will try to ram my car from the side, or overtake on the inside and stop his car in the lane on front, or jam on the brakes whilst driving at seventy miles per hour. Enough to test the patience of the mildest mannered of us, don't you agree?

  • Here you go just to clear things up there's no minimum speed limit for motorways so to drive at 50mph is perfectly fine.

TBH I'd probably laugh at the fact he's got so mad, and just carry on as I was. I wouldn't engage in a chest beating competition to see who's got the biggest balls.
