Do I have to enter them?
I'm sorry you feel offended by what I'm saying but I feel very offended by the fact that you want to change everything for everyone and force people into doing something where they had a choice before. All we are asking for is to have the choice back as we did before and if you want your guidelines then fine, we suggest (I am paraphrasing from the posts I've seen on here) all comps with end dates go on the main forum and are linked to the regs threads, it's a good compromise as I see itJust become FTBs & Aiming to be mortgage free by 2034

I thought they were there for the people who CHOOSE to use them
Yes, it's a choice, but as we have a regular forum at the moment and those are the types of competitions it's there for surely they should be in there until decided otherwise?
Do I have to enter them?
No of course not, but I thought people were worried about missing competitions?

How can I not feel offended by what you're saying, you're questioning my motives when all I've ever done is try and help people, and now you're singling me out as the person that wants change, it's not just me that's talking about changes.0 -
Things are getting out of hand now - i dont think anymore should be said until we have the poll, then it can be majority rules.0

I only came in today but already I'm tired of the bickering.
Please may we stop arguing, close the discussion, and have the poll? According to the comping guidelines clearly set out on the main board, we should ALL have been using the regulars board to post regular comps from the beginning.
It is only because we have been either too bloody lazy in some cases or not read the rules or accidentally posted in the wrong place that this has come about.
I have never heard such petty whining as I have on this thread "oh, I don't want to do this that and the other" "I don't like it" blah blah blah. Some people would seemingly prefer the comps to be posted, organised and then entered for them!
It makes me wonder how people can hold down jobs, pay bills and raise children when they are unable to navigate an internet forum.
Please can somebody just set some rules in stone and force us all to follow them - this is what happens when you give people choice.
And to accuse people of trying to "hide" competitions for their own gain is disgusting :mad:Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
Well, I must say, MSE Towers are going to be really impressed with how politely, calmly and respectfully we have managed to post on this thread. One of the first we have been allowed to offer any imput on possible changes.
Yes, I guess, lets go back to the good old days, and just let any changes be imposed upon us, as it appears we can't discuss things between ourselves politely.
Please be nice to all MoneySavers. My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

Hopefully the rules will be set in accordance with what the majority want and have posted on this thread, it's only because a very few have been unwilling to compromise that this thread has gotten as it is now. Most are trying to be reasonable but some people can read written words different ways and take different meanings from them cant they and then things get awkward with everyone just trying to defend instead of taking a few deep breaths and being calmJust become FTBs & Aiming to be mortgage free by 2034

I have to say i don't see the point in a regulars board? I would personally find it more confusing than anything else? If it ain't broke why fix it?August: £149/£150
Sept: £200

I thought we lived in a democracy and that this forum was democratic nt a regime or something similar where the few over-ruled the many.
It would be good to have the poll very soon so that all the nastiness could stop, it puts you off posting especially when stuff is posted under comp answers that have nowt to do with the comp.
I feel so sorry for Glad as she is trying her best to get it sorted first by listening to the few that wanted the changes then when she realised there was a problem asking people to post their opinions so she could try to organise the comments into some sort of reasonable listing for mse towers. If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again.

Right, lets try and put this behind us all and start afresh!
Just for reference if anyone wants to read any/all of the other suggestions put forward before this thread was started, they're all in a couple of the Competitions Discussion threads, I think korky posted the link to the beginning of the discussion somewhere earlier on in this thread, so it will be the end of that Discussion Thread (I think it was number 12?) and the beginning of the current one (number 13).0
