- some class them both (or all now I've made more categories) as regular So because they both add comps regularly and you can enter regularly?

I can see what you're trying to get at but i think you're on a very slippery slope with the second definition as some could take it to extremes and move every competition across to regs if there has been some on the same site before and they come up regularly.:o
EDIT: For me regs should be same site/same prize thats regular ie not changedJust become FTBs & Aiming to be mortgage free by 2034

If new compers read the comping guide then they'll find the regulars no problem. I did, all it took was a bit of looking round & initiative, not hard at all. No-one pointed me in the right direction, I found it simple enough myself!
If things worked before then why should it change? If it aint broke don't fix it, innitxx JoJo xx

I haven't read this whole thread and didn't know there was a problem.
Maybe some effort for the webmaster but how about having some system where regular posts can be tagged as daily, weekly, monthly and buttons like 'show all posts', 'hide regulars' or 'show only regulars'. So everything remains on the main board, just one copy of the post and people can choose how to view and sort it.0 -

Didn't even know it existedtherefore never used it  therefore must have missed out on many comps
What is the point? Thanks to all OP's your efforts are much appreciated :A0 -
I think the point is, people DO use it, just because some people miss it doesn't make it have no point!
If you do actually go into there you will see literally 1000's of comps. The main board would simply collapse if they were all merged onto it & then there'd be much more of a mess. Especially seeing as a lot of the regs don't have an end date. It's not fair for those who take the time to enter these comps to suddenly have them all taken away just because some people don't visit it. That's their problem really, it's not hard to find & if they choose not to then it's up to them!

Surely the people who have no time to visit the regs will then get overwhelmed with the amount of comps & I think the main board would be hugely daunting. I don't think it would work, if you have a look at the sheer amount of regs there are, it would be a total nightmare & a right bloddy mess!
I don't understand why everyone is in a tizz when it worked fine before?!xx JoJo xx

I must admit I too have missed comps because they were posted on the regular board. I do try to remember to look there every so often but it's easy to forget.
There is a clear way of indicating that the post is daily, weekly, monthly and also to include end dates where known so that's fine. I have a set of similarly named folders in my favourites where I save these.

Not sure of the exact times possibly but my point being is if a comp was posted today with the end date being in 4 days there isn't a endless list of times for the re-direct.It goes something like 1 hour 5 hours 1 day etc not whatever you want to put:)
My choice would be just to have the one main board now and do away with the regular board(i never ever use it myself either) and maybe keep the same date format now and have say (MONTHLY/WEEKLY) after it etc?Darren0 -
I prefer the main board as I rarely have time to do the regulars as well but if they all go on the main board isn't that going to get really clogged up?
I would like to see the monthlies on the main board at least as I never have time to look in that section. I occasionaly look at the dailies but I mainly save these in my favourites anyway.
