Good Evening
(((((hugs)))) Hester.
Got all the washing done, it's now on the airers. I'm trying not to use the TD we have used loads of electricity so trying to cut back a bit. Got the shopping done, I spent more than I planned but there are some good offers on stuff that I use on a regular basis so got extra. We had pizza (half price - boys favourite one) homemade wedges (better than half price offer on potatoes) and salad (20p off) whilst the oven was on I made some chocolate buns to use up some eggs. Just put chocolate on the top, the boys are waiting for it to set.:)
Got the bathroom cleaned, it really needed it. This is the first time I have cleaned it in 10 weeks:eek: (prolapsed disc) DH has cleaned it, but it needed a really good going over. It's sparkling now, but my back isn't too good.:( Will rest up.
It has rained all day today and is very windy, did consider a walk to town if it cleared up, but not a chance.
I have read that a few of you are on low carb diets, I'm interested in this. Please could someone point me in the direction of a website that might be of use. Or give me the diet "rules"
Thanks
Have a lovely evening.

Hester, Sorry to here your bad news:A I forgot to say earlyer, sorry:)
All the best:A:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
My day started at 4.55, knew I had to get up at 5.30 but woke up early:(
My daughter was stuck for childcare and my son took me through to her house at 6.25. I even managed to do a bit of work before I left home, I'm an adult education e-tutor in my main job so sent off a couple of mails. I just hope the two new learners I mailed don't think I normally send things at that time and expect them, it won't be happening.
I took my daughter through two MSE presents - a pair of needlecord jeans from the X Catalogue Shop (£1.99, originally £25) and Gill Holcombe's second budgeting cookery book, bought in the Works for £2.99. Whilst Mum was at work my grandchildren had a lot of fun picking out recipes they liked the sound of (they are 9 and 8 and good readers)
My own books of wonderfully economic recipes are Jocasta Innes' The Pauper's Cookbook and several of Shirley Goode's printed in the Eighties. Jocasta's is still in print and Shirley's should be.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Shirley used to post on here mcculloch, I am not sure if she still does. Now I've said that I am wondering if I got her mixed up with someone else hmmm...It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Evening All! Missed posting on here this morning, but I do have a sparkly kitchen to show for time not spent on here! Stayed home to keep DS company today and he actually seems a bit brighter now.- in fact he's cooking supper for us.
Filled car up with diesel just now - three quarters of a tank and £71.50 spent!!!! Help!!! That's truly dreadful!
Hope you've all had good days today - will go back and read of all your doings now.Resolution:

just got back from shopping and had a yummy veggie stir fry and noodles for supper.
Got naughty little Louie a nice doggy toy from the pound shop to keep him occupied:D plus a lovely set of magenta bedding in the Tesco sale.
I also returned my M&S jeans and exchanged them for a different style.
We picked up the 6 dining chairs from Ebay that cost us £20:T very nice they are too so we are well chuffed.
Need to unpack and tidy up now before walking the dogs.
might pop back later xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Evening all,
Was awake at 6am as I was running over figures in my head all night, so fially gave up the battle and walked the dog at 6.30 in the gales. At least it didn't rain.
The reason for my poor sleep was that I've decided that I'm sick of being stranded in various places around the country in an old car, on my own when the OH is away (it always happens when he's not here). I'm starting a new job in the next few weeks, and as OH is off his course, he's back to doing security contracts which are good money. Therefore, I've decided to lease hire a new car, and we went yesterday to look at a few.
I've gone over and over and over the figures, and it looks like we are going to able to comfortably afford it, but I was working on the numbers for about 3 hours, just to make sure! We've been in this afternoon and placed a deposit on the car, and are waiting to see if they will give the OH finance. If it doesn't happen for him, my mum has said she'll do it for me, so I have peace of mind.
So, not really an MS day! We also had a burger for lunch so it was all downhill from there...
Apart from that, I've had a snooze this afternoon, and am just about to walk doggo in the rain and wind. Dinner, if we're hungry will be quorn chilli with baked sweet potato - all seen and crossed off my food inventory spreadsheet....:o
Hope everyone is ok.
