Afternoon all
Dark, damp but very windy today (the weather not me!).
Was quite productive again yesterday, so got our bed stripped and changed, that bedding washed, dried and put back into airing cupboard. Went to town to the bank, scales, have lost 2lb, there had to be an upside to feeling so poorly, but want to continue the weightloss but know as I'm now feeling better and eating properly that's going to be difficult. Not helped by the fact that I'm drinking a lovely glass of chilled white Chardonnay as I type!!
Did get some cooking and baking done yesterday, leek and potato soup - ready for lunches next week and some in the freezer, chocolate brownies made and 2 doz cup cakes. Also made a sun dried tomato and herb loaf to eat with the quorn lasagne I made for dinner last night, 1 portion of lasagne now in the freezer, several slices of the bread left.
DH didn't go into work today so had a later start to the day, much needed by us all but he will be working the next 2 Saturday's.
We've had a ride out to visit his grandad, he's doing very nicely, he's coping very well on his own and seems to be keeping in good health. Am not that happy with DH's mum and aunt though, they've all had a falling out and haven't been to see grandad (their father) since Boxing day - I know he can get awkward but he's 85 years old, doesn't expect them to be fetching and carrying for him, neither of them have been to see him or even phoned to check he's ok. DH and I don't get involved and just keep ourselves to ourselves but always go and visit everyone, it can be difficult at times when someone upsets you but you sometimes have to rise above it and let it go. Rant over!
We stopped off for lunch on the way home, was lovely - had lovely farm shop sausages, mash, veg and gravy! Went into the farm shop afterwards - the butcher there was selling diced steak for 5lb for £10.00 - looked lovely so bought some to freeze - will be having beef casserole and dumplings next week.
Tonight will just be a snack tea as lunch was rather large meals for all of us - so minimal cooking for me! Cupcakes need icing though so may do that shortly, DH and boys watching tv/on playstation. Have chicken to roast tomorrow, will be having it for dinner instead of lunch as DS1 has rugby away match and DS2 a home game so easier to cook later in the day.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Hi chums ,well I did my London 'walk' with the Uni class and it was really good, but very windy and chilly.Got back to kent around 2,30 so when i picked my car up from the station I thought I would get a few bits this afternoon instead of waiting till Monday so all my shopping that I needed is done.Just got in and put the bits away.Dd range to say youngest DGD is not well and she is taking her to the Medoc emergency Dr. at 6.00. She's been quite poorly this week but went into her p/t job at lunchtime and they sent her home as she really wasn't well enough. She hates taking time off in case they think she's unreliable, its only a p/t job but it helps her through college. My other DGD is also unwell I think there is a 'bug' going round college as they are both at the same college.
Youngest DD still hasn't heard whether she is still in with a chance of a job.I do wish firms would tell people if they have or havn't got the job they were applying for .an email wouldn't hurt even if it was thank you but you were unsucessful.
Right I'm off for a hot cuppa and to put my feet up as they have done a few miles todayfrom Pimlico to lambeth across the bridge and up the other side to Westminster and over that bridge as well then up Whitehall and around Trafalgar square then back down to Parliament Square.Still the exercise must be good for me I suppose. My poor old trotters are a bit achy this afternoon:):)
Have a good evening everyone, prawn salad with a jacket spud for dinner tonight

Hurray you're back:j
Missed posting this morning as a bit of a lie in until 10, very late start for us.
It's really cold and wet here today and has never really got light and is now dark again. We popped out to have a mooch around the charity shops and DS3 spent his Christmas vouchers. Bought a couple of cheap books but no real bargains today.
OS wise I have taken DS2 off our car insurance as he now has his own and saved us £70 per month.
Quick vac and polish and a couple of washes done and a quick swipe around the bathrooms.
DD partner has just text to say thank you for the ginger biscuits I made him and that I should sell them. It's always nice to get a thank you.:T
This afternoon I have a piece of Pork in the oven that should do us at least 3 meals. Tonights is roasted pork with veg, mash and gravy and pudding will be ginger cake and ice cream that I made yesterday. I have also made a butternut squash and spicy tomato soup from a WW recipe, it smells good roasting but haven't tried it yet.
Day in Rotherham tomorrow to visit mum and dad and will make a Victoria sponge with jam and fresh cream to take for dessert as mum will make a roast dinner
Flutterbyuk rather you than me I can't stand anyone even touching my feet but I hope you enjoy it
The house feels nice and clean and DH has just lit a fire so we are going to settle down and share a bottle of wine and watch a french thriller that DD lent us
Sorry it's war and peace but it's been building up all day, can't cope without my daily post.
Have a lovely evening J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Evening all,
Very wet and windy here, just the day to snuggle in and watch a DVD, which I did this afternoon. Went to help at local village hall last night, the St Andrew's night was cancelled due to weather so it was re-scheduled for yesterday evening. It was very successful and hopefully we have raised a fair bit towards the restoration. Went back this morning to clear the hall and then for a celebratory coffee and bacon roll!
Have cleared all the clutter in the kitchen and done 2 loads of washing which are on the airers. There was left over food from last night which we shared out so I have steak pie and pots for tea which will just go in the mircrowave, very MS!
Not been on for a few days so will catch up with all the news later. Flutterby - the thought of the fish freaks me, I went to the Barrier Reef a few years ago and had to wear a big blue suit in case anything (including seawead) touched me!! Hope you enjoy it though and the show. I am going to see 'We Will Rock You' in Glasgow in a couple of weeks, I love a live show.
Take care all, have a good weekend! XX0 -

woooop woooo laptop sold for £95!!
Ipod didn't sell in so if any wants?????
Just incase anyone dose not know. If you have a broken laptop dont just bin it, ebay it!!!
There is very good money to be made out of broken laptops, net books.
People pay good money for them. They then break them up and sell the working parts on ebay. Do a search on beay for spare parts and you will see they have everything on there from screws to the case, from hard drinve to the mother bord. There is very good money to made out of the 2nd hand parts.
Rember dont bin it ebay it!!!:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0
