ive been stung by ryanair before (not with boarding passes)
we look forward to printing them off because it means our holiday is almost due ;-)
i think their customer services are shocking, dont give a toss about anyone, airline staff are either rude or ignorant unless you are buying duty frees,
i think it sucks with them charging £12 for you to do their job of printing boarding passes,
but if they offered it free but just added £15 on the flight cost nobody would bat an eyelid!
at least you know before you book and can get the vaseline ready!
and yes i will use them again and again because they're still usually the cheapest, for once i have sympathy for mr o'paddy0 -
Perhaps the chap who they got arrested for not paying for his manky sandwich. I'll have bet he wasn't thinking them to be very fair. Nor did the fellow who this thread is about. What about the ones the have refused to compensate for cancelled and delayed flights?whatmichaelsays wrote: »Who has been screwed and where? Ryanair charge people who don't stick to the terms of their ticket or those who want services that are above and beyond the standard fare. What is wrong with that?
And why are people happy to forgive / forget the likes of BA for illegally colluding to "screw" customers but lighting quick to kick up a fuss about a £5 speedy boarding fee?The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

I dare say this could be a lengthy one for the Spanish courts. I wonder if Ryanair will find it hard to justify the four hour rule. If someone turns up at the airport without their boarding card why shouldn't they be allowed to go to the nearest internet facility and print one off? What motive does Ryanair have for preventing online check-in for a full 4 hours before departure?0

Like who? As far as I know, Ryanair has complied with the EU regulation for reasonable expenses. Full service airlines like KLM actually have a much worse record than Ryanair on that front.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. You mean the compensation he is charging fees for? Besides, I am not specifically talking about the "ash cloud," I was talking about all the other instances where RyanUnfair have refuse to pay. What about them? You're the one throwing the examples out, not me. Or are you just falling for the O'Leary PR machine which says one thing and does another?
Yes, Ryanair has had its legal run-ins. Some of those have been deliberate because, put simply, the PR benefit outweighs the legal expense. In the end, I don't believe that Ryanair are any worse than any other airline.
The original point was that Ryanair haven't been involved in illegal collusion to artificially inflate the cost of air fares on what would otherwise be competitive routes. British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, among others, have. That, to me, makes those airlines considerably more "unfair" (to use your word) than Ryanair. Would you not agree?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

No, of course because they don't matter at all, then. The fact hat he wants to try any conceivable angle to rip people off, should concern anyone.
I fail to see what the behaviour of other airlines has to do with O'Leary. The implication was that everyone else was dirty, yet O'Leary was squeaky clean.Yes, Ryanair has had its legal run-ins.
