  • Tuna pasta bake for tea and I've just got Weezls lentil/marmite pate recipe so will try that at some point over the weekend.

Anyone else made this. I followed the recipe and it cooked lovely but there was too much liquid and the lentils couldn't absorb anymore! :(

No worries it'll become the base for a soup or go in a curry or stew :p BUT I would like to make the pate too.

    Hola!

Another nice day, due to break next Thursday, unless it changes before then.
Congrats to RR's DD & TM's DS & Tapper's DS and not forgetting Adelight well done at realising that no effort is wasting money too.
HH Sorry your diagnosis was confirmed.

((hugs)) to those suffering with the lurgy or having money worries

:hello: to all newbies/lurkers Welcome to the mad house.

Well I have been following the on line WW for the last three days, and do not seem to be eating much less, but will see what happens when I weigh in.

Very pleased to hear your part has been ordered Jayward, let us hope it comes soon, before the cold weather returns.

Went out to the live music locally last night, which was good, even better now they are enforcing the No Smoking indoors rule here at last:D

    Take care all DG

    floors.

Dinner was eggs and HM chips mmm :)

What a lovely, warm and supportive thread, and some familiar names from the No Buying Toiletries thread too.
I splashed out just before Christmas on a new stockpot to make broth with. For the last twenty years or so I've used an ex-Army quarters chip - pan (BIG chip pan!) Today I've bought the ham hock so at some point on the weekend a pan of warming broth will get itself on the go.
I do love this stuff. I bought a bag of pearl barley and will put half of that in with the normal broth mix, bought the broth mix in T*sco so not as cheap as the usual barrel - shop outlets. Most of these weigh and save places seem to have gone now, a real pity, one feels.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
  • Welcome mcculloch :) I too miss the weigh and save places, its a real shame they're gone.
