    Morning All,
Still here, but seem to be having a second round of the lurgy going through the house:eek: have currently got DS off school with the flu & DP & I are both full of cold today. DD seems to be immune, must be that cloud 9 she is floating around on with the new bf :happyhear
Congratulations to the exam passees :T tbh I am just praying that DS manages to get to the end of the year without getting permanently excluded :(

Adelight good luck for today, hope you start to feel better soon.

Hester good luck at the hospital today, I have an eye appt at the end of the month, something to do with my periphial vision.

Had to laugh at the puppy stories, we have a 2yr old staffie biatch which I guess makes her the equivalent of a teenager, she has taken to chewing anything & everything just recently for no apparent reason:mad: so OH is going to the butchers today to get some bones along with some lamb mince for hm donner kebab which is on the menu for tomorrow.
OS wise not much today as we are feeling so rubbish, dogs to be walked despite the wet weather, soup & cherry pie to be taken out of freezer for tea tonight & that;s about it:D

Forgot to say Welcome to the newbies :o

Right that's enough rambling from me.

Hugs & Spoons to those in need,
    Best Wishes to all x

    jaxx

p.s v8mb hope it all works out ok for your hubby sounds like he's got his priorities sorted:T

Taplady - had to laugh so much at Louie's antics! Our new boy Fitz is steadily demolishing the stuffing from the old sleepingbag which he uses as a dogbed - the floor is always covered in fluff! I think I told you how he tangled together about 14 balls of beautiful alpaca wool recently? Took so long to get it all sorted and usable again - put me off my knitting for weeks! But, like Louie, he's a very much loved young man!

sounds like Fitz and Louie would make a great pair!:D

Oh Taplady - you just want to launch them into outer space somedays and then they give you that "look" and you are lost to them.

You are so right Molly - he sits there looking like butter wouldn't melt with his head cocked to one side as if to say'whats the matter Mum? what have I done?' and of course you forgive them instantly:D

I'll be glad when the weather is better so he can play in the garden more. He just loves having 'adventures'.

Jobs all done:j bag packed for work. so got an hour now to relax before I go.

Tired Mum - well done to your DS:T

DS2 came home to say Morrisons are supporting him to get a BTech qualification in retail which is brilliant!:T

shall miss you all tomorrow x

good luck to all with exams and congrats to those already with results!

    :mad::mad::mad::mad:MAJOR RANT ALERT:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Well i tried opening up two children saver accounts about two weeks only to messed about by Natwest. So instead over the phone i tried AGAIN to open them, only to have some bloke on the other end trying to sell and then take money out of my accounts and upgrade it Advantage gold account which i didn't want :mad:. He then refused to listen to what i said regarding the children's account i only want to pay money in not take it out.

so i trottles into the branch today and pay in a cheque and to have a basic cheque up of my account as it appears advantage gold has been set up against my wishes.. Arghhhhh

So i very politely ask the lady to cancel the childrens account as the info put in was in correctly inputted and to cancel the extra's. Now as i jotting down the details in silence i came out with the sentence "i was so annoyed i could have hissed at him". She then said if you carry on swearing you'll have to leave the branch as abuse won't be tolerated:eek:. The fact is i didn't even swear apparently i said pee'd off and !!!! off. Which i didn't so i demanded an apology otherwise i was going to speak to the manager regarding her lack of customer services i.e not cancelling thebservices and the cheek to accuse me of swearing. Oh i'm angry arghhh

In the end i got a full apology and all the things i wanted cancelled. So annoying.

Right better shoot off and get snips.
  • jaxx I have a staffie girl too, she's about a year and a half, and we feed her raw, she loves her bones, but her favourite thing for chewing, and it keeps her very busy is one of those knotted rope toys. Poundland have big ones just now which have lots and lots of knots and she loves it - unfortunately I had already bought her one for about £6 from Petsat home, so I now have a few in the cupboard. She can sit and chew it for a good hour before getting bored.

  • Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind if I join in. I'm new and this seems like a good place to post to keep me motivated.

I noticed lots of you talk about dinner plans so tonights dinner is fish with hummous sauce and new potatoes

I've decided I'm going to try a freezer/storecupboard challenge next week so I'm going to write a list of everything in the freezer and see how many meals I can make. May need some help as I expect we have a lot of strang things in there!

It's nice to meet you all

Jac thanks for the heads up re poundland, DD works there so shall ask her to get a couple. Trouble is our other dog (lakeland/jr cross) appropriates everything like that & hides it from her :) out of interest what do you mean by raw? raw what?

    Welcome ScarlettsMum
