Morning All,
Good luck today Hester! Welldone to DD Redruby
My OH came nome at 6am , he'll be away for a couple of days again next week, and his work looks OK for a few weeks. I also got paid today - I had thought I would be onto half salary but I got my full amount, so that was a surprise, and takes a bit of pressure off. I hope its not a mistake though, and I will need to pay it back
Not sure what I am doing today, my sister is buying a new car, and I may need to take her over later to fill in the paperwork and test drive it (the dealer took a while to find her what she wanted and we had to leave) otherwise I may just spend the day resting
Washing on, I'll make some sort of cakes later, and I'm taking the boys up to see their gran after school.
Have good days all, hugs spoons and Hi5's where needed

Morning everyone.
Not much to report here. Dull and wet here.
Making tomato and cheese spirals later with mindee and then off to soft play. DD is off to pre school this morning so she'll have fun.
H working a bit late tonight so not sure what the plan is for tea.
Going to sort out booking our summer holiday, going back to Norfolk as we enjoyed the beaches so much.
Hester - hope all goes OK at the hospital x
Hugs spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

redruby, congrats to your DD, one less exam to worry abot for now!
hester, good luck x
Morning all, have my first exam of the season today. I had another rubbish night so am baaadly needing a coffee and half my face is really sore from a blocked sinus, just looking forward to going to sleep tonight without an alarm on!
I told mum about me and (non)OH last night, tried to slip it into the conversation but she caught it and she understands, I think she was concerned I was going to get pregnant/married and flop out of uni like some relatives have so she's relieved and pleased i'm okay with it:o Dad's in trouble for going into work with shingles and infecting someone, I know I too sometimes forget that I might feel well enough to go but I can't go infecting people!
Have some spinach & broccoli soup in the fridge for lunch, no idea what to do for dinner! Errrr? Hmm...Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Good Morning All
Do you mind a long time lurker joining in? I find this thread very upbeat and that helps with the day ahead.
Todays plan:
1. Went to the gym and spent 50 mins exercising
2. Got onto the Hugh`s Fish Fight website and have signed up (couldn`t get on last night)
3. Work - I work from home so have a full day ahead of me
4. Lunchtime - Grocery shop at Morrisons.
5. After work look after DGS while DD and DDF go out.
Also got to find time to dry some washing (it`s drizzling here so it will have to be inside)
Unload DW and reload it and have a quick tidy around.
Have a good day everyone0 -
Good Morning All! Good to see you, imataloss - you're right, people here definitely give a lift to the day!
Woke up late today so still not showered or dressed. Am trying to get parcels delivered to the two loacalish womens refuges (thanks for the suggestion!) as the room they're in is needed this weekend. Having made the initial calls last week I'd promptly forgotten about firming up collection arrangements.
Took DS to the cinema yesterday - nice treat for me!
He's so depressed and wants to stay here longer. So difficult to know what to do for the best.
Hester, hope your hospital visit goes well today.
Those Australian news pics are really awful, aren't they? Heard from DH's cousin yesterday who lives near Brisbane - sounds horrendous, but she reckons she's not in the truly badly affected areas.
Oh well, must get on. Have a good day - and take care of yourselves.Resolution:

Morning all
Congrats to Miss Ruby:j
HHester hope all goes well at the hospital today
Well went to Lakeside yesterday n spent £3 so was very happy bought 2 pairs of gloves for dog walking and 2 pairs of jeans with vouchers
DS got his maths result yesterday he got a B which means no more maths for him and one less exam in the summer we were really pleased as he missed nearly a year with all the troubles that went on and he could do with extra lessons for his english as he really struggles with that
Dinner tonight sausage n mash
Have a good day
Hugs to all those under the weather or with worries0 -
morning!
off to work later but tring to do a few jobs first to save me tomorrow as its my weekend off!:j
Little Louie has been very trying this morning:mad: think he's going through the doggy version of the terrible twos:D he's pulled all the stuffing out of the dog bed again and also pulled my dryer hose half way up the garden and wrapped it round the washing line pole - the dryer is outside in the shed and was on at the time - he's made the hose about 20 times longer than it was! he is into absolutely everything and its really trying my patience, its a good job I love him so much or he'd be on his way to the dogs home!:D
OS - just about to put a beef stew on for DH dinner, I'm sleeping in at work and DS2 is at his girlfriends. Not a clue about DS1 and whether he's home later or not.
Have tidied up, mopped floor in kitchen(a thankless task with 2 muddy dogs) second lot of washing in machine.
Got some nice stew packs of veggies for 9p each last night at Morrisons. They were also offering cooked chickens for 99p - 15 mins before closing is a great time for bargains - cakes, bread and meat reduced.:T
Julie - sounds like you're doing great on your diet:T
Redruby - well done to DD!:T
Hester - good luck at hospital x
better go and do something now, have a great day all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Good Morning All
Well done Miss Ruby & Master Tired Mum :T Its my DD's worst subject so hope she does ok this year.
Good Luck today Hester
Well its Friday at last :j:beer: also have no work on my 2nd jobhave quite a lot of paperwork to do but think that might be rearranged for Monday.
Have already been out this morning and dropped off my car to be serviced - traffic was terrible and took me 1 hour 45 mins round trip
Am stuck in my office now as OH is washing the floorsthink will do some ironing in a minute and then OH is treating me to lunch at our favourite carvery. Wont be needing dinner tonight then so think will be macaroni cheese for the kids.
This has seemed such a long week, guess because of all the bank holidays before. Anyway have a great day - am off now to investigate the fish website.x0 -
Good luck for the exam adelight, welcome imataloss
And well done to Tired Mum's DS, I still don't quite get the whole exams in the middle of the year thing, but one out of the way and passed successfully is always something to celebrate
Beemuzed, have a hug, and well done to your workplace for the donation, I'm sure they'll put a smile on lots of wee faces
Just off the phone to my youngest sister, he wee dog had an emergency hysterectomy yesterday, she had pyrometra - she's been off colour for a couple of weeks, and it took her this long to get her seen to, I am mad with her, but trying to remain calm about it. Good news is the wee dog is home, and resting, and should hopefully pull through. She loves her to bits, and she's completely spoiled, which makes me even more annoyed that she never took her to the vet immediately
OH and Coco are snoring on the couch together, I will have trouble getting him up to his bed. I have bread proving, and some empire biscuits in the ovenIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
