Good Morning all quite mild here but also very wet.I have a history class this afternoon which I am looking forard to,apart from that not a lot really. I had for once a really good night's sleep last night, it must have been all the walking I did yesterday.but I feel so much better for it.
youngest DGD has now gone down with the lurgy that is sweeping through her college i will have to stay away from her as I have a low immune system.
Hope everyone has a good friday.I'm off to london tomorrow on a field trip with Uni so hopefully by the time I get home the site will be back online
Cheers Chums

Hi everyone
Welcome to Imataloss (great name!).
Well done to Miss Redruby and Master Tired Mum - maths was never my favourite subject!
Hope everything goes well, Hester.
BIL's operation didn't go ahead on Wednesday, but for the best of reasons. It was intended to fit a second stent to help his jaundice levels drop so that the chemo can start but, when the doctors tested him before the op, they found that the levels were dropping really fast so they are hoping that chemo can start within the next two weeks, which is brilliant news.
Well, not much else to report here - the weather is mild, dry and even a bit sunny, for a change. Sadly, I don't have enough washing to hang on the line to make the most of it.
Dinner tonight is chicken stir-fry with noodles; it's all been prepped so should be easy to cook.
Hope you all have a great day.

By the way; have you all seen the note at the tope of the page? If you click into the date, it tells you that the forum will be closed for EIGHT hours tomorrow! EIGHT hours - what on earth will we do? I'll have to do housew**k!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Morning all! :hello:
At work today and will be going out for tea and a cake at lunchtime with a colleague. :coffee: It'll be my treat as she treated me at the end of last year and we haven't managed to go out again since then.
Tonight will be chicken/Quorn fillet for me with mash, veg and gravy. :j
Cleaned the bathroom last night and DH tidied the lounge and did some washing up before my folks came round. Mum asked if we'd done a spring clean so at least she noticed the effort we'd put in! :A
Luckily she didn't see the clutter piled up in the other rooms! Might make a start on those this weekend.
Good luck at the hospital Hester and also to adelight for your exam.
Well done to redruby's DD and tired mum's DS for their exam results! :T:T:T
Also well done for all the weight losses! :j
Jac - perhaps you should check the full pay is right before spending it!
Lou - wakey wakey!

Morning all
Well, he OH walked in through the door this morning at 01:30!!
Not expected, he hadn't called, and I thought it was someone trying to steal his motorbike :rotfl:. He's come off his course due to not being able to make the times they needed as he's been throwing up for 2 days. He also said that he'd re-evaluated his decision and that our marriage was more important.
He's now staying home until I start my job to give me some support, and to sort the car!!! Regardless, I'm still going for the contract hire as he will be away doing security later in the year, so won't be able to fix it when it goes wrong again. His poor friend has probably had enough of me now to last him a lifetime...
So today has started a bit late. We're only just up, and OH is calling his superiors to explain himself. He doesn't really care what they think though, so there's less stress going round.
Apart from that, we're going into town to see some car dealerships to see what they are charging for various vehicles, and just chilling out.
Tea will be something exciting like scallops or plain like minced pork patties with mushroom sauce. Mum went mad and thought she'd treat me when the fishmonger arrived, but I've not had time to appreciate it as I've been running around like a headless chicken.
Have a good day all, and hugs to those that need them.

Definitely, it will come in handy for emergencies.Sorry to hear about your sister's dog, poor thing.
We're dogsitting this weekend so should be going for a long walk tomorrow afternoon. Failing that, he'll be sitting on my lap having a cuddle for the afternoon!0 -
Taplady - had to laugh so much at Louie's antics! Our new boy Fitz is steadily demolishing the stuffing from the old sleepingbag which he uses as a dogbed - the floor is always covered in fluff! I think I told you how he tangled together about 14 balls of beautiful alpaca wool recently? Took so long to get it all sorted and usable again - put me off my knitting for weeks! But, like Louie, he's a very much loved young man!
Mioliere - that's such good news about your BIL - hopefully the chemo will be able to ahead with no further setbacks now.Resolution:

morning!
Little Louie has been very trying this morning:mad: think he's going through the doggy version of the terrible twos:D he's pulled all the stuffing out of the dog bed again and also pulled my dryer hose half way up the garden and wrapped it round the washing line pole - the dryer is outside in the shed and was on at the time - he's made the hose about 20 times longer than it was! he is into absolutely everything and its really trying my patience, its a good job I love him so much or he'd be on his way to the dogs home!:D
Oh Taplady - you just want to launch them into outer space somedays and then they give you that "look" and you are lost to them. Poppy used to play tug-o-war with the washing as it came out of the WM. Now she always comes and sits with me or Kids Dad when we are sorting the washing but is not tempted now. So it does get easier and it is a phase that will pass.
Well done to those who have done well in exams. We are waiting for our early results later today. TBH we are not hopeful as DS2 has spent a good deal of time messing around and he is so disorganised:eek::eek::eek: Only this morning i had to drive to and from school three times taking in stuff he forgot as he has an internal assessment today:mad::mad::mad: Good job I can drive today. If it had been last week he wouldn't have stood a chance! Maybe he needs some bad results to act like a stick of dynamite !
Anyway very quiet day today as busy one tomorrow with much needed haircut and colour. Have cracked on with DLA form and hopefully can send it off on Monday. Then I will forget about it - hopefully. Im washing my clothes today. I have recently decided to do mine separately as they were getting ruined when Kids Dad puts everything in together. He sorts colours but not types of fabric and most of kids stuff is fine but my woollens and joggers/ fleeces keep shrinking dramatically:eek::eek::eek:
HugsxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Jac, I've just had a thought about your hoover! Could DH have drunkenly done it after his night out with the lads the other week?!?!:D0
-
OMG :rotfl: no!!! I was up when he came in and put him to bed :rotfl: (although the thought did fleetingly cross my mind for a second
)
