I've told [TEXT REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM] that if I don't get payment by 9th March, I will take further action which I will. Watch this space...I will of course let you all know if the money is sent by Monster Mugs and then I will not need to take any further action on 9th March.
I don't know what further action you are contemplating, but if it's court action you need to send a letter before action first. Google for a samples.

    Send it recorded delivery.

We have a link to the OFT's LBA in the ReadMe sticky post #5 if that's any help.

And Consumer Direct's one a couple of links below that in the same post. It would be Template #10

    Monster Mugs Complaint
    Thanks for all your responses.
I've already sent him a letter by recorded delivery with the threat of legal action if I don't receive payment.

I wouldn't advise posting what could be construed as veiled threats on a public forum
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.
  • Good luck Liz, I hope you are more successful than I have been trying to get my money back from Monster Mugs.
  • Lots of excuses, but still no refund...
  • Would love to know if anyone ever got anything back from Monstermugs. I responded to his post but didn't get any reply, but hardly surprised.
They would have to be more than a little unfortunate to have got so many CCJs against them due to them moving and losing their internet and phones. I can confirm that they certainly didn't settle the CCJ we had against him and it was not disputed, in fact on several occasions he claimed to have sent cheques, which of course never materialised.
Well if nothing else, hopefully anyone else planning to use them will Google them and find this thread before they part with their money.

Seems like this company make a habit of not coming up with the goods; the 'Joint Mathematical Council of Great Britain' (say that with a mouthful of beans!) are trying to get a refund from said company owing to the non-appearance of an order.

  • Thanks - did call, but it seems like we need 1000's to call before we get any action.

I was given a Royal Mail tracking number by monster mugs on email (info@monstermugs.co.uk), but if you look up the tracking number its not valid.

What is this country coming too? if people like this can just keep on trading and no consquence?

Looks like its down the small claims route then, doesn't it?

Send a letter before action then read up about money claims online.

All the info you need is in the thread entitled...
