A couple of my French beans are sprouting. Or trying to, at least. I think. :)

I never thought it would come to this but I think I'm going to have to start paying some attention to my lawn. :(

I've never bothered about it before, but I'm conscious of the fact it has a huge dandelion population, and I'm forever pulling them out of my veg patches. If I improve the lawn, presumably I'd be doing a bit less weeding? I've also got a little buttercup. Didn't someone say they were a bit of a pain in the grass?
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Looks a nice place and as I drive up and down the M20 once a week I may pop in to have a look on a nice day.

For some reason I thought you lived 'up north', no idea why!

I live 187 miles away from Bybrook Barn. :rotfl:

I went and took the folks out for dinner, as it was mrbadexample snr's birthday on 11th. ;)

See, told you, have faith McDuff ;)

You'll be picking beans in a matter of weeks. I hope you like french beans? :rotfl:

I hope you have a large freezer, lets put it that way :D

But 10 Borlotti beans? You won't get that many dried beans from that many.

It's all a learning curve, next year you'll have a good idea on what you need. But there are also fluctuations in how well the veg grow each year, so maybe you'll only just have enough?

:rotfl: Nah, you're going to be swimming in beans :rotfl:

Yep, plenty of time yet for beans, get them in. What happened to the ones you have?

    You had cucumbers today?

I also picked my first strawberries today. My DS had never tried them before and wasn't sure, but soon got the hang of it, lovely they were.
