I'm not taking any chances. Unsurprisingly, the unfleeced beans all look absolutely fine. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I have a red onion in my garden that overwintered (I didn't know it was there) which is about to flower. It doesn't seem very big so if I let it flower, will I be able to collect the seeds to use next year or is that not a good idea?
I don't see why not, although It's my first year with onions so I don't really know.
And what's going on here? Do I look like Gardener's Question Time? Check the thread title - you're supposed to be helping me! :rotfl:
It's ok, honest. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

They are in large pots, have been fed with proper tomato stuff, but they're going brown around the edges and one has curled up almost under itself - the best way I can describe it is like a dead spider does, folds up!
I'm not much use am I? To be fair, plants come to see me when they want to die, so I shouldn't be surprised.
 Have they got flowers yet? You're not supposed to feed until they set trusses. Could they have been overwatered? If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
