Ah, but I am such a newbie and the pix of your garden are so inspirational, I regard you as the fount of all knowledge :D

Oh dear. :o Just make sure you double check everything I tell you, ok? :p
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Hope this works! Unfortunately my OH decided to remove the offending leaves on the larger plant! The other cucumber plants' leaves are also turning white.

    Any help gratefully received.

MKS...........are you over watering them? or could those leaves had got chilly? or lower leaves will often die back, are they all lower ones?
The rest of them look fine, so I would have done what your OH did and look forward to tasty Q's after adjusting watering or temp if needed.

:o i gave in and ive already got three different apple trees, please someone tell me these will pollinate it :eek: as well as the pear tree and cherry tree and quince :o just need to get a plum :D

by the way whats a trusses with regards to tomatoes, sorry for being so dim

You need to check when they flower and if they are in compatible groups. If you are in a populated area where there are other apple trees, it should be ok as bees fly long distances. Otherwise, you might as well get a crab apple to be sure :D

I think cherries are self-fertile, not sure all pears are though.

A truss in tomatoes is a set of flowers that will turn into fruit. Tomatoes don't normally feed feeding until the first fruits are set. Some start feeding when the plant start flowering, but ask 5 gardeners and get 5 different answers :)

Thanks. They are in self watering pots and the temp has not dropped below 6 degrees in the greenhouse.

6 is too cold for them, that's your reason for the leaves.
They will recover but maybe sow a little later next year, just being cold can check the plant growth.

MKS - they aren't in water permanently are they?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Thanks annie123. What is the minimum temp they should be kept at?

The pots are the type where the water is at the bottom (doh wouldn't be at the top, would it?) then a base then the compost with the cucumbers in. They are pots made by Stewert.
