I can't quite believe this, but my largest (3" high! :rotfl: ) Pretty in Purple chilli is about to flower:
:jIf you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

My cucumber plant leaves are going/gone white with green veins and curling up at the edges. It is in a shaded greenhouse. Can anyone advise what causes it and what to do with it. TIA
I believe this can happen if plants get too hot. It doesn't need to be direct sun, just if it's daylight and too hot. (No idea how hot is too hot). Is it called sunscald? If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0 -
Thanks for the suggestions about my flowering onions.
Sorry about the late response but have not been on the pooter for days (child currently taking and exams had commandeered it).
If I let them flower and save the seed is there a risk of all of the onions grown from the seed flowering early as well?
From the responses to other posters I think the snack cucumber has wind burn. One of them has got flowers on it so have not given up on them yet.
Love everyone's pics. Wil try to put a couple of new ones of my efforts on tomorrow.
I am desperate to plant my beans out but will wait until the end of the month to be sure there are no more frosts (not that I have noticed any). The last frost date for here was about now but who knows with the weather these days. I am sure I also have namby pamby beans so tuck them up every night in the greenhouse. Will draw the line at a kiss goodnight but might talk to them when I think no one is looking.
I have flower buds on the Cherry Fox and Tigerella tomato plants in the greenhouse but they are not ready to open yet. No sign of flowers on the pomadore, Red robins or Red Cherry Bush toms.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

I thought this was usually caused by cold (sorry to say the opposite!) esp if you haven't hardened the plant off before putting outside. If it's just the lower leaves but there's some healthy top growth then it shouldn't be terminal. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

Are you propagating new plants from your armpits? I did last year, but this year I think 19 plants might just be enough. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
