That last one is truely mutant.
I'm quite jealous of all your gardening successes, I had to give up on most of mine at seedling stage because of our unexpected house move. Although I have cucumbers growing in a planter that I couldn't move, that son will benefit from once we're gone.
I miss pottering outside around my plants.Keep up with the pics, I can be a virtual gardener through you lot.

There's always next year, and you can learn from my mistakes in the meantime. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
My toms seem to have really paused in their development, & I have nowhere near as much fruit as you have MrBE.
Can I ask you to post a pick of your pepper plant(s) when you have a spare mo please? I'd just like to compare - see how far mine still has to go...
Interesting that everyone has wierd stories to share regarding strange garden goings on...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Well, I have got 19 plants. Should see me right...If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Ok, chillies, by request:
No idea what this is - was given to mrbadexample snr as a "pepper", and then passed on to me. Flippin' 'ottest pepper I've ever had, I can tell you! Nice and prolific though.
Pretty in Purple, just starting to fruit:
Lemon Drop, just flowering:
And the first signs of fruit on another:
Wenks Yellow Hot. A few fruit, lots of flowers:
And Iranian Round - same again, a few fruit & lots of flowers:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
MBE, you may find that some of those that look like dead flowers are going to fruit....I had lots like that and when I pulled away the flower there was a teeny baby tomato under it.
I thought I was doing well with my tomatoes...I have over 20 on one of my trusses of gardener's delight that i grew from seed...but you have definately beaten me! I don't have any mutants yet though!! And I've not eaten any yet but I reckon I will be by the weekend. My plants are getting a bit top heavy now, I think I need ome taller canes as they are mostly taller than the ones I have and are making them start to fall over.0 -
MBE, you have a lot of black pots, are those the Morrisons flower ones people were suggesting a while back?Herman - MP for all!0

Yes. These are the slightly smaller ones - the big ones I've used for the tomatoes. I've managed to pick up about 60 this year for about £3-£4. More than I need, but they do split quite easily, and I'll have plenty for future use should they stop selling them.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Having had a closer look, you might be right. Some do have the beginnings of fruit there. No idea why they're so far behind the others though.
I use string to support my tomatoes - does a better job than canes IMO.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
My millifeur tomato plants also have thousands of flowers on them but just about a dozen toms. Maybe ready for a late surge, dunno.
Did you get your pretty in purple from real seeds? I have got the same but mine looks a lot shorter than yours but much much bushier0
