Some of my tomato plants are going light, and I am concerned the dreaded blight is returning.:(
I've pulled the affected branches off & am hoping it is something/anything else. Lost the entire crop last year.:(
I still don't have a pepper flower or a papper on the plants either.
The only plants doing really well are the onions, spring onions, and lettuce! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I have plenty of sweet peppers growing well, good size too but very few chillis this year, some plants with no flowers.
I've grown them for years and have had this before, some years are great others not. The pretty in purple chillies have flowers but no chillies yet.
Well done on lettuce, I've given up this year, eaten/bolted/sat on and pi**ed on by neighbours cat
And I've eaten all my spring onions, I forgot to sow at intervals so have a long gap:( paying 75p an bunch really miffs me!0 -
I picked my first pepper today. It's gone from green to orange, so I guess it's ripe - just not very big.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

my pepper's bigger than yours, ne-ne-ne-neeeee-neh!0

I've just eaten about a quarter of that "pepper". It's a chilli. And quite a fearsome one at that! :eek:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
The tomatoes are coming:
Galina, early yellow cherry. I've had about 5 so far:
Conchita, grafted "Turbo" tomato, just starting to turn:
And Gardener's Delight, the first of my outside tomatoes to start ripening:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
:jwell done MBE, they look great. The grafted tom has an amazing amount of tomatoes on the trusses!
We ate our first home grown tomatoe yesterday-only the one was read but I've come home tonight to about half a dozen ready for tea tonight. My first pepper is also turning a magnificent red! We have had lots of jalapenos and pretty in purple chillis too and ate our first spring onions last night.
I haven't done any successional sowing this year though so that's something I need to get better at for next year.
I hadn't weeded the veg patch for a couple of weeks and it's awfulit has a spreading ground creeping weed in it, nettles starting to come through again as well as the usual tall yellow weeds (not sure what they're called). A good amount of time spent in it over the weekend should sort it out...but it's also now empty! Anything I could plant now for a quick crop?

Thanks. I guess the best ones are on the grafted tomatoes, but I must confess that all may not be quite what it seems. I have some very nice trusses, that's true, but I also have a lot that aren't so good looking. It seems that a number of fruit didn't set for some reason, and I think I have more than my fair share of mis-shapes:
Galina, outside, fruit not set:
Millefleur, outside, more flowers than fruit:
Kumato, outside, fruit not set:
Gardeners' Delight, outside:
Purple Ukraine, outside:
Amish Paste, greenhouse:
Sorry that's a bit image heavy, but thought I best show I've got my share of problems too. I've never had so many weirdos as this year. :huh:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
