I'm in my late 20's, I don't expect to be talked to like that because my wiper is broken. I have tax, an MOT and insurance. I wasn't speeding or driving dangerously. I was not drunk nor had I taken drugs. Numpty..

I had a healthy respect for Police, but after last night I'm slightly miffed with her attitude.

Not only that, but we were dressed in our snowboarding gear, which includes bright green trousers for me, and not once did she ask why lol.

Why are you miffed? You were quit rightly pulled. You have a part dangerously protruding from the vehicle.

If I were a copper, I'd pull you too. If you couldn't be bothered to get such a simple thing fixed, what else might you not be bothered in getting done, such as tyres?

How you can accuse my car of being poorly maintained I don't know?!

Well for a start its got the rear wiper dangling down and swinging about.

    Mine doesn't.

It's one thing pulling someone over for a defect, but they the arrogant attitude?

There's no need for it, some coppers have an really unnecessary extremely over-inflated sense of self-importance.

One wonders what the attitude of the OP was, given their posts in this thread.

^^ The Police always start with an authoritative tone, if your the type who gets funny about this (young teenagers/students or middle management), then your in for a rough ride.

I'd say her attitude was fine, judging by the OP. You can disagree if you like (and you probably will).

But from PERSONAL experience I'd say I've been stopped by more arrogant coppers than polite ones. I've come across more arrogant coppers in town centres than I have polite ones. And I'm always polite to the Police, regardless.

Make of that what you will. It's a fact that some coppers are knobs. And I expect the OP came across one last night.

It's not sticking out, just flopped down so it's pointing at the floor. :o

Just get a spanner (normally a 12 or 13) and just remove the entire arm and the wiper. It isn't an essential item and until you get a new one there is no excuse to be pulled again.

And thats all it is. You wondering. There is nothing to suggest the op wound up the police in anyway.

I've only been pulled once in the last 10 years and that was because my car flagged up as having no insurance on anpr. I had insurance.

The attitude was unbelievable, just as you see on interceptors etc, but less polite. I got the whole good cop bad cop thing.

However after failing to find anything wrong with the car and having rung the insurers who confirmed my insurance, the change was astonishing. Yes I guess they are hardened to dealing with "scum", we all know they exist, but they should not automatically treat every joe public this way.

They actually pulled me from the 3rd lane of the motorway and stopped me 100 yds from where 2 motorways merged, highly dangerous and they apologeticaly has to escort me back onto the road with blue lights:(:(,not how it should be.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
