so how do i pay for my item i recieved? is the giro slip meant to come with the parcel or seperate??

Why is everyone moaning when they get charged? Did anyone here actually RECEIVE the code through the post, order THEN get charged?......I doubt it. If you are going to use a code that was not meant to be for you then you get charged then so be it, its a gamble of sorts. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to put a downer on it but its the way it is. Mine worked ok as I got the code the right way.You may walk and you may run

Used the code 4 times on myself and wifes account.
All items arrived with no charge.
Also placed another order with £10 off £20.The main item was out of stock, but they did send the other free with another free 1980's b/w portable TV and welcome pack!(on an account that has been active 2 years)
These codes are a gamble with empire,it's a bit like playing a fruit machine.0 -

I agree. I was sent it and have used it with no problems. Clearly they are charging people who are not entitled to use it.Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs
Total cashback / freebies / money-saving: 2006 ~ £3,961 | 2007 ~ 3,610 | 2008 ~ £4,159 | 2009 ~ £1,449

I received it through the post, addressed to me as I have an existing account with empire. My order arrived today & YES I have been charged. Usually I would return it with "discount not applied" on the return slip, that way it costs them in delivery & pick up for thier mistake, however in this case I like the item in question & think (for once) that the quality is worth the price so I will keep it & phone my next order through & ask for my discount then.Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

For those who did not receive the code and have been charged, just return the item - it doesn't cost anything! You've lost nothing. Some you win, some you lose, it's always a gamble using discount codes that haven't been sent to you personally. Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0

You'll receive a statement from them with payment details. Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0 -
I'm not understanding people returning there 'no longer freebies' - when this code was first posted everyone was saying things like 'wow so cheap' - 'wanted one for ages' and now they have to pay £4.99 its no longer needed???
I too got charged - yes i was a bit put out - but I still got a bargain so no intentions of returning. And to be honest i wouldn't send for something just cos it was free if i didn't want it.0 -
I got nothing0
