seems quite clear to me, if i select a sale item, the code doesn't work, if i select an autumn winter or xmas book item, it works. why is everybody complaining about being charged if they have not adhered to the t and c? yes it would have been great if the code worked on anything, but seeing as it is advertised as an a/w code what do you expect. I would think that since there are very few xmas book and autumn winter items that are less than £5 that the majority of people have ordered items from the sale and that is why it's not working

Got my item, I ordered from the autumn winter section of the sale and have not been charged. But, and this may be why, I was sent the code and had an existing account.

i just got sent an Empire stores catalogue, but havent opened it - and do not want it.. how do i send it back? will i be charged for the catalogue
(i didnt order anything using any of these free codes_

i used to work for them and have never heard of them charging anybody for a catalogue

I ordered from the Xmas section on the site and wasn't charged (above what my receipt stated as the item wasn't free) I did have the code sent to me, though.

My mothered ordered from the same section and also wasn't charged. She wasn't sent the code. I guess like people have pointed out you have to make sure you order from the correct sections on the site.

I received my sale item today, and had been charged. I emailed to query why and now have a £5 credit on my Empire account.

Cant complain.

I'm an existing customer, have been for about 12 months, still waiting for my top to be delivered but not charged as yet.
