Glad you had a brilliant time at disney! Is nice you could treat yourself as you don't get to do these things often so need to make the most of it.
Well done to your Oh on the winnings, and even better you got a treat with it.0 -
He is a total sweetie for treating me
Plus I smell pretty scrummy now!
Got the amazon money paid yesterday. £24.05, but it's all mentally put aside for things. £15 for Royal Rumble and the rest for OHs Stepdad's Birthday. Was meant to be going out with them Saturday while OH's working but I just can't afford to, so need to plan for going over Sunday to see them for a bit instead.
OH is at a meeting today, but says he'll be back around 2ish so is planning a surprise for tea. Says he's going to test out some recipe ideas he's had and I'll admit I'm pretty excited! He's annoyingly good at throwing recipes together. I know it's involves spare ribs, but that's it.
Not much news on the money front really. We're just floating happily, everything seems all sunny side up at the moment. But keep on thinking of our plans and getting butterflies. I'm trying not to think too far forward, and take each step as it comes but I keep on doing cheeky maths and thinking we'll have it all nailed up to Step 6 by Sept.0 -
September's really soon when you take into account that it's going to be Step 6! Go you!
Glad you had a great time, I had a peek at your blog last night and there are some lovely photos! Love the snowglobe! But no Pascal?! I might have found a 'screener' of Tangled online that I'm putting onto my phone to watch on the plane!
Your OH really is jammy, winning the jackpot! Nice that you got treats with it. I didn't realise that he was a smoker though!
I'm amazed at how little you guys spend on food, what do you eat?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
No, no Pascal!
We went into every shop and couldn't find one. They didn't have much Tangled stuff tbh, just some odd figures. Don't think it's quite made it into the heart of Disneyland Paris yet!
And ohh yes, OH is a smoker! He's not that bad really, he can easily go without and doesn't seem to smoke that much when we're home or out together. I know he smokes way more at work just to get breaks. Which is stupid. It wasn't so bad when he smoked the minty ones, but he bought stronger ones now and it's just horrible when he comes in. Blergh. Reminds me of my ex!
I'm surprised how little we spend on food too. But we eat plenty! We buy meat a week in advance when it's been stickered and freeze it, like the ribs we're using tonight were only 79p and should have been £2.62 from the Butchers. Then we plan our meals around that the next week. Bar meat and coffee (which we bulk buy when it's cheap) we buy the lowest brand we can. I think it's making everything from scratch that keeps it cheap, like the wedges we make work out at 11.5p a portion. The the pizzas I made last week worked out at 82p. We just buy what we need, and do fine without if we can't afford it. But lah, we certainly aren't starving!

My brother started smoking for real when he worked at a place where you kind of had to smoke in order to get an extra break. I think it's awful that smokers get extra breaks, what about us nice non-smokers?! It doesn't happen at my work which makes me happy!
Some real foodie bargains there! I hope that when I start my new job I'l have more time to make food from scratch, I can pop home at lunch time to do the prep so it's all ready to go when I get home. I do want to try your pizzas too! My big problem is that I eat alone... and what's the point of cooking a proper meal for one?!
What a shame about the lack of Pascal! Maybe you should get a real chameleon instead!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I've got internet access and general lazy ness in my job, I don't need to go stand out in the cold with sticks of cancer to escape
Cooking the recipes gets easier and quicker as you do it. Like the chilli chicken OH makes - took him 45mins the first time and now he can whip it up in 15 as he knows what's what. I bet it's the same with the yummy sounding chilli you make! I'm a faff for eating on my own though, I tend to wait until OH gets in and eat with him - though that's at 10pm some nights nowI suppose you could always make enough for two like you would then either plate half up for your Mr or pack it up and freeze it if you could, for a kind of ready meal another night when you can't be so bothered?
Oooh no, not as a pet! My Sister's Ex had one and said he woke up one morning and it was lying all dead, grey and floppy in the bottom of it's tank  I don't need that possible stress before looking in the tank! We're, however, steadily getting closer to a puppyWe've chosen the breed, it's just saving and OH's Mum maybe putting in a good word for us with breeders she knows. It's a pain mind, we went to rescues and saw 2 perfect dogs but our home isn't classed as secure
So we've got no choice but breeders now.

You do a really good job with your food shopping, very bargainous! I am hoping to get a bit better when I am off work.
The steps are very exciting and is good is keeping you happy and motivated.
Which breed puppy have you chosen?0 -
Wendz - It's an Alaskan Malamute we're after. It was an Akita but we heard a couple stories from owners that put us off a bit. But they're about £850 from a good breeder, plus all the puppy vet costs and getting him all set up we'll need to save about 1.5k maybe pushing 2k as the breeder we really like at the moment is all the way in Devon.
Was speaking to OH though, and asked him if he'd rather have a new bed or a pup. And he's decided Pup! So Step 4 is now to save for the puppy, which in my head I'm calling MalFor Malachi the Malamute! Kind of cute, it means 'My Angel' in Hebrew.. or so I'm told. I'm hardly clued up on the language!
No money news today really! OH is off and decided he fancied going to the supermarket as they're doing the really rubbish action novels he likes stupidly cheap. Anyways, while he's there he's going to see if there's any reduced meat and is going to pick up the toilet rolls we've been clipping coupons for. So I'll owe him whatever he spends come payday Friday, then I just need to go do a smaller shop Saturday for things to make up the meals. I gave him a list and told him whatever he buys that isn't on there, and doesn't make any sense, I'm not giving him the money back for. I know it's harsh but he gets too excited in shops at times
My Brother is over tonight for tea and is treating us to some chippies! So I told him we'd go buy fluffy fresh loaf of bread and still have some real butter in the fridge for ultimate chip butties. Ooh, total yum. I haven't had anything from the chip shop in months.

I love those dogs, they look so friendly! They're big though! I'm a bit wary of big dogs never having had even little dogs around me when I was little! I'd like a 'Puggle' (Pug/Beagle):
Not a very manly dog for OH to take down to the Rugby Club though! :rotfl:
The Ultimate Chip Butties sound, as you say, total belly yums! I'm jealous!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ohh my goodness! How cute?!
I prefer big dogs really, though my parents mainly have smaller ones. OH's Parents breed Newfies who are like furry giants, but they're the sweetest things. Actually, thinking aboot it, this past 2 months are the first out of my 238 on this earth that I haven't had a dog. Weird! I do miss having them around, OH's family brought Summer and Breeze when they came to visit and it just made it click how much we want a dog around.
OH text and told me he spent £15, which is better than expected! And that he picked me up some new leggings and I owe him £5. Which is amazing considering I didn't even ask for any. Hey ho, it's not like I don't live in them anyways.
Looking forward to my weekend. Just over 3 hours away! I plan on sleeping plenty, lack of sleep for the past couple weekends has left me useless. I need to catch up! Though I have lots of housework and paperwork to sort through awaiting me. And I'm finally getting my hair cut FridayYay!
