It is good to know you have the savings if you need them, always reasurring!
Hope you have a nice weekend. I might pop down and look at our local carboot tomorrow.0 -
Cinny youv've done well to save up all that much
I think its a good sized emergency pot and like you say still adding to it is brill!!
All you ladies on here are so broody! Its lovely but for me - babies still scare me! I know I need to get a full few steps onto the career ladder before I think about it because unlike you lucky ladies, I dont think OH sees how helpful it would be for him to get a better job
Ah well we still have plenty of time!
It sounds like your house youve set up is lovely, and if you can get something going with the garden then thats just a bigger bonus!
I can't wait for the next few 4day weeks at work! I'm sooo in need of a little break!0 -
Tink - I wouldn't stress! My Sister is pushing 4 years older than me and has no interest in babies or getting married, it's different things for everyone. But I'm sure once your OH starts seeing how money really does make the world spin, he'll push himself a little harder. Same happened with my Mister.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Didn't do the carboot in the end, when I asked my Mum what time she wanted me there ect she just told me she wanted to snooze in alittle, so I think we're doing it after Easter? Still, had a pretty fab day yesterday. Made a rather scrummy looking carrot cake to eat at my Parents after tea (say looked scrummy, I didn't have any *will power activate!*) More pizza swirls from a recipe I found through Tete's blog, plus I made me and OH pizza with garlic bread from scratch for dinner which I'm secretly quite proud of! Plus I caught up on Tough Enough as OH chained himself to the Wii for 3 hours on the task of burning 1000 calories, which he did do. Although he's mardy this morning because 1) he's in pain and 2) the Wii says he's put 1lb on.
On the money side, I got an email from Quidco to say they've sent the £106.08 (the 8p is vair important!) so just waiting on that so I can ship it to OH for his insurance. I bought some travel jelly moulds so I can make my own jelly at home to bring to work - They've already paid for themselves and will save us £1.14 a week, which isn't much but it's a saving. Bought the final bits to complete my full turn of new make up for Summer (lighter weight foundation with SPF, new lash curler, eyelid primer ect) using some E.L.F codes, but I did spend £10 so currently have £8.66 in my bank account, which needs to last me until the 28th? I think! I've got plenty of petrol in my car, and don't need anything, so I should be fine!0 -
My OH was never that motivated until i pushed him into applying for police which is what he always wanted to do and since he got in has been so much happier and pushes himself a lot more now.
Shame about the carboot Cinny but bet you appreciated the lie in.
Well done on the carrot cake, i really want to have a go at making one of them.
I got on the wii fit a couple of days ago and told me i was obese oops, don't think it counts for people with babies inside them.0
