It's was worth it Birdie! A bit annoyed that because of the stupidly long entrances and pointless clips with 'famous' people they cut down the Corre vs Kane, Big Show ect and completely cut Sheamus vs Daniel Byran. CMPunk vs Randy Orton was my favourite match, although CMPunk is my favourite! It was really good though, lots of killer moments but I don't want to ruin it!
My Brothers Girlfriend changed her mind last minute and didn't come with him. More Milka for me! My Brother actually said he was kind of glad she didn't, which was a tiny shock.
Got my old phone boxed up too, it's all on the side with the rest of OH's bits he'll need to grab on his way out so there isn't much chance of him forgetting it. But even then I can't promise myself he'll take it! Have a couple watchers on my ebay items too.
Did find out this morning my Zus is going to America for 3 months in Sept. On one hand, I'm really happy for her as she'll love it! But on the other I'm thinking I'll miss her too much and 3 months feels like ages. Suppose I can't stop her, so I best just be happy for her. And hope she sends me some snoballs!
ETA: Had to laugh at your OH's Mum SwinstiePoor Lass! Although, with the way most Lush things smell she can be forgiven for thinking that. Though I'll admit I mindlessly ate some of the packaging when they used popcorn, I remember thinking 'right, that isn't for noming' and then decided to nom it anyways. Oh lordie!

I'm glad your brother's girlfriend didn't turn up. It is horrible though when you don't get on with a siblings partner - proper awkward!
Three months sounds like a long time but it will fly by, especially for her! What a great opportunity though.
Tis good that you've got some watchers on your ebay stuff. I so should get back into ebay but tbh, I really can't be bothered. Plus, for the next 5 weeks I'm officially BUSY as I have a presentation, an essay and a dissertation to write.
My OH takes some persuading with veggie meals too. But meat is so expensive.Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

What's your sister going to be doing in America? I have an old school friend who moved there permanently in October last year and I've been following her blog that she started to document life over there and it's so odd how differently they do things over there, I think it's not quite the life she expected! Did you know that employers don't have to legally give people paid time off over there?! For one of the companies she applied to they told her that she'll get one week's paid 'vacation' after working there a year! And I complain about my measly 25 days + bank holidays!
I'm very scared about the 'eating Lush packaging' story! You're such an odd ball! :rotfl: My cousin went through a very strange phase of eating the stuffing from his sofa cushions... we don't really talk nowadays!
I'm another one who needs to get back onto ebay, I just never quite got the hang of the whole 'what to do if the item doesn't sell' thing though and got annoyed that I was paying so much in listing fees!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I am sure you will miss your sister lots but she will have a fab time and be back before you know it.
Birdie - the holiday is rubbish over there isn't it! We really shouldn't moan. I guess they have stuff like thanksgiving and 4th of july etc though.0 -
I didn't fully eat it! It was more like 'Oooh, pretty Lush giftset! This popcorn isn't for noming' *mindlessly puts bit of popcorn in mouth* 'OH SWEET JESUS THAT'S NOT RIGHT' I don't gots the smarts.
She's going to work at a Centre where her friend works, she says that will pay for all her bills so she just needs spending money. She loved it when she went for the week in January so I've no doubts she'll slot right in. I can't see her moving there though as she doesn't like how 'new' everything is, but it'll be good for her.
I only put things on ebay during free listings, so no harm done if it doesn't sell. Like with Amazon, although the fees are killer it's no harm done just popping them on there on the off chance. I do hate packing things up and trotting off to the Post Office though, serious laziness!0 -

I sold a load of things on Amazon last year/earlier this year, it was really handy as you do just pop it on and hope for the best, but I hated having to go to the post office all the time too! The thing with Amazon is that it can sell at any given time so lots of unexpected trips out of your way to the PO! I liked my old place of work as they sent a lot of parcels via DHL every day so I ended up slipping quite a few of mine into the pile when I couldn't be bothered to go to town after work!
Where abouts is your sister going? She'll need a lot of spending money I'll imagine if she still loves shopping!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Woke up to a bid on my dress and about 3 or so more watches on the items :j Won't be rolling in it but hey, it's extra pennies!
OH sold my old phone yesterday, got £20 for it but for some reason opted for store credit which is useless to me. He offered to give me the £20 for it but I dunno, I'd feel bad him being £20 out of pocket if he didn't use it. Hmm, guess we'll see what happens when he uses it. Looking into selling my old iPod too, I hardly use it at all now I've got my iPhone so there isn't much point in me holding on to it.
Remembered last minute to grab the M&S vouchers for my Grandma before I came to work this morning. She normally comes into the Office on a Tuesday so I'll remind her about them then, then I can swap them when I go up to see them tonight.
Birdie - I think she'll be in the Huntington Beach area. She's not as much of a spendthrift as she used to be, but I've got my mothering head on and I'm worried she'll underestimate costs and will end up having to rely on someone to back her up. It's pretty much a one chance thing though, and I think she'd go for it even if she just had enough for plane tickets.0 -
Yay for the ebay bids, every little helps!
Annoying about the store credit for the phone but never mind.0 -
Gosh, your sister is one lucky girl to be over there for 3 months, she'll come back a proper California Girl!
Any more bids this morning? I get really excited when people bid on stuff I'm selling, but get quite offended if an item doesn't sell, or sells for pennies! Silly, I know!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
She is very lucky! The guy she's staying with seems really lovely too, very kind and last time she went was a bit like an older Brother so I'm sure she'll be fine. She's really excited, but told me she's trying not to think about it too much atm.
Both my ebay items sold. Only made about £10 on them but it's better than then laying about. Keeping it all in my paypal account though as a little present fund, as I will do with my STP earnings whenever I cash them in. Which are admittedly terrible atm! Going to start scouting Etsy for my Brothers Girlfriend's birthday present - I always get her something from there as even though I'm not overly keen on the girl it would be completely rude not to and etsy is pretty cheap for good things.
OH decided to spend the last of his 'big wage' on a Wii and wii fit. Which is fun, and unexpected as I just came home last week and there it was all set up! Was fun last night after the big Sunday dinner getting my family to go on it, mainly my Parents as they were all over the place. My Dad trying to hula hoop on Wii Fit had OH near tears.
We did get a letter from the council confirming our council tax direct debit. I think we just clipped it a day too late as they aren't taking a payment this month but have rolled the 10 payments into 9, which is only an extra £10 something a month so no worries. Will mean we have an extra £100 to put towards OH car insurance from what would have been this months payment.
Food shopping has jumped up to leveling at £40p/w even though we're buying the same things we did when it was £30-35p/w. Quite easily the meat pushing everything up. OH still refuses the idea of veggie meal ideas, so I don't know what to do really. We already buy the cheapest brands where we can, and make the most of offers on the things that we don't want to buy lower brands of. I did get the toothpaste we use half price from a different supermarket I went to with my Mum on Saturday though, along with some marked down macaroni and cream to have macaroni cheese for tea tomorrow. Which I know is veggie for now, until OH decides we should put sausages or something in it!
And finally we've started a new change jar. This one is for silvers, and pound coins if we've got them to spare. All extra spending money for our June holiday, luckily OH can just bag them up to change straight at work so we won't get the 7p per £1 from Coinstar taken off us, or the pure awkward feeling of taking loads of little coin bags into the bank.0
