I'll send you a little selection next week Birdie, there's flowers and veggies so will put some of each in, unfortunately my garden isn't big enough, roll on getting a new house.

I'm very excited, Birdie! :D Got a couple cards in the post today and I cheekily opened them. I can't wait, OH's Grandma sent me this amazingly whimsical one. She knows me so well! So I'm currently up £20, and 5 lottery tickets :D

My Brother is coming over for tea tonight as he won't be able to see me tomorrow as he's going to bloody London. Cooking us Thai green curry with noodles, and some cheeky bhajis. Yum!

Shopping yesterday went well. We got some treats on top of the normal food and spent £35.16  So we're getting back on track!

Been quite happily busy today. Dropped OH at work as he was running late as he couldn't find his name badge. There is a very slight chance I mindlessly grabbed his work shirt without checking it was still clipped on and put it through the wash first thing. There's also an equal chance I'm going to pretend I found it in my Cath Kidston jug :A Went to the Office to see the lady I used to work/share shifts with, gave the house a bloody good clean and sat for about an hour before getting bored and tootling off to Asda for a random shop. Just got back really!

Speaking of the shop, I finally got us some decent roast tins/oven trays and some new moisture traps. I feel abused by Wilkinsons and their ugly £6 ones we got before Christmas, Asda have ones for £1 that look as pretty as they can get and smell of Vanilla and Rose. Serves me right for just buying the first ones I saw!

Money in wise. We finally got our £50 M&S vouchers from Sky and I got my top up wages of £66, did spend £25 in Asda though. Will be my first/last splurge for a while now as it needs to last me another 4 paydays.

Had a really lovely weekend! And was pretty spoilt on my Birthday, got lots of things that have been on my wish list for ages in the way of books, DVDs and Yankee Tarts. Plus the token money from my Grandparents and my Brother slipped me some vouchers.

OH's surprise was really sweet too, he decorated the Living Room while I was out, bought me a cake and some stupidly pretty flowers. Curled up in the afternoon with our slankets and watched Last Song on Sky. (I had a little cry, bloody Miley Cyrus!) Was tucked up in bed by 10:30 :o Went shopping yesterday, and to OH's parents for dinner. His Mum taught me all her Sunday roast tips and tricks, even gave me her Yorkshire Pudding and gravy recipes which she normally keeps hushed so I'm feeling quite special! :rotfl:

Money wise, we're still bopping along quite problem free. It's OH's payday in 3 days, and he's quite excited with his bonus and overtime wages! He's got a little left to pay off the credit card, and his Brother still owes us £100 for the telly and the money I need for bills this month works out at about £80 less than normal so he's hoping to make a massive dent in the insurance savings and is talking about taking £200 out as spending money for us for the month. Which wouldn't be bad if we could manage it.

I'm wanting to set up a few money targets for April though, like getting our holiday savings looking a little healthier and maybe some money making targets as I'm really slacking off in that area atm! I've got until Friday, so quite a while to tap my chin and stare gormlessly into the distance while my brain spurts something out though, so no rush!

Sounds like you had a lovely birthday Cinny, glad you enjoyed it!

It sounds like things are still ticking along nicely money-wise, hope that the gormless chin-tapping produces results!

Went home at lunchtime to find a very cute policeman on my sofa, although he looked very young! OH's bike was stolen (from our 'secure' garage!) over the weekend so he got the police round to report it, I'm hoping that we can claim on the insurance because we can't really afford to replace it! I'm really cross, why do people just help themselves to other people's belongings?! It must have been Steal-From-Mr-Birdie weekend or something too because the changing rooms at the rugby club he played in on Saturday were broken into during the match, luckily he'd put his phone and wallet in the valuables bag since he thought the clubhouse looked a little dodgy but all of the change from his jeans pocket was taken, thankfully they left his wedding ring in there, whether the thieving gits were being kind or just didn't see it I don't know! Some of the guys had wallets with £80+ in them stolen, you'd be gutted wouldn't you?!

Bloody hell! Fingers crossed you can get the money back for the bike, what's wrong with some people? I don't want to put it to how rubbish things are for a lot of people moneywise atm but I'm hearing so many more stories about people having things stolen from them.

Actually, I don't know if I mentioned it but when we were at Disneyland OH's Mum noticed this sketchy looking couple with an empty buggy (covered with a thick blanket but just didn't look right) eyeing up peoples bags ect when parents left their prams to one side with taking their kids upto the parade. I mean, it's Disneyland you don't really think people are going to take your stuff! OH's Mum pointed them out to some Security Guards who just brushed it off, but ended up asking OH's Mum if she'd seen where they'd gone and running off like loons after a bunch of people went up saying bags or cameras had gone missing. I hope they got caught, who does that?!

Just got a rushed call from OH to tell me he's found a place for parking near work in the city for £4 instead of £10. I don't really know why I needed to know that, they pay him the money back anyways. I think he was just excited!

Got my Sister around for tea tonight, and a stupid amount of rubbish telly is saved on the planner for her. 2 episodes of Hellcats, the last episode of Skins and 2 or 3 16 and Pregnants. Blummin' 'eck. Plus it's gone from 'Ooh, I'll come over after your birthday and cook you tea' to 'so, what is it you said you'd make me' Err, nothing! Jeez Louise! I'll just whip up some chicken and egg fried rice, all I really fancy anyways! OH isn't home until 11pm tonight from work with him being in the city so I'm just glad for company.

Bless your OH! I can understand him wanting to share pointless but exciting news though! Last week I rang OH up to tell him about an old man I saw with a whip on his belt, it tickled me no end and I just had to share! OH made me laugh on Saturday because we've got a blackbird (whom OH has named Brendan) that comes everyday for a tasty meal of worms and OH said, 'Brendan's here! On a Saturday!'... 'Erm... Sweetie, do you think birds take the weekend off?!' :rotfl:

I can't believe people would be on the rob at Disneyland! It's just not right! Its the Happiest Place on Earth! Jeez... some people have no boundaries

Glad you had a lovely birthday Cinny! Good luck with your targets for April when you set them, always good to have something to work towards.

Crikey Tink, that's pretty hardcore! Glad you made it to the end though, and hello :hello:

I think my body clock is messed up. Instead of my normal struggle with losing an hour I'm actually going to bed earlier, and feeling way more awake in the mornings. Actually had time to give the house a clean and make us smoothies for breakfast (and not leave the pots in the sink!) before coming to work, of which I was about 10 minutes early to. Hope the rest of the day goes this nicely.

In bigger money news, I've finally started my pension. It's only £10 a week (Only paying in £6 personally) and though it'll mean my top up wage on the fourth week will be about half what it normally is, I do need to get it started. I know £6 isn't massive, but it's a start.

Been looking at part time jobs again, but there isn't anything that would fit in with my current hours. I'm not checking madly, as it isn't like I really need to get a second job but it would help. Will scout the shop windows in town after work as I need to take the office post up, post off our census and I'm finally going to go register at the local library anyways. Was very close to ordering a couple books this morning, can't really afford to be buying new books all the time like I used to!

Does it seem like weeks are going really quickly to anyone else recently? And I can't believe it's going to be April on Friday, where did March go?! Oh, I'm just having a funny time with dates and time a the moment aren't I?

Well done for starting your pension! It will pay off in 102 years when you can finally retire! ;)

Do you have a Blockbuster in your town? I have some friends who used to work there part time and they're generally pretty good for working around your schedule and you get free rentals! :)

I'm finding that time is flying by pretty quickly too, don't know what it is, maybe we're waiting for spring to arrive so we're just zooming through the last of the wintery months so we can enjoy the nicer weather?!

At lunch I went home and OH were having a look in the spare room and we've decided to have a move round and move my craft desk next to the window so the light is better which means emptying everything (bookcase, drawers, cupboard, desk) so it can be moved... it's my job for tonight and OH said he'll move the heavy furniture tomorrow/thursday but I know that it's going to take me forever because I'll get distracted sorting through everything coming out of all the storage spots! It needs doing though, I'm just going to have to stick everything in boxes and sort it when I put it away!
