((((hugs)))) to all the poorlies, NPM and to adelight x
Oh and despite all my protestations of never going on a diet again I am joining SW tonight

Bitsy - I do SW too, but I just do it myself at home as can't quite afford the classes and the gym! Good luck x

I'm exhausted, spent all day lugging stuff round the office again! We have almost got there now. The storeroom is pretty much empty now ready for our kit to go in. We have huge piles for recycling/tip/other storeroom!, just waiting for a can to shift it which should be done tomorrow or Thurs.

OS wise - WM went on with some of my stuff plus work tea towels, need to put on airer now. That's bout it.

    Have a fab evening all

Adelight - get to the Doctor asap. Your OH problems will make you feel worse.
JackieG - Feel very proud of you for making such a brave decision, hope all goes well. Just remember that you can't do everything at once.
    NPM - Hugs.

Glad AussieLass is ok and also JackieO's Aussie friend, it must be terrible at the moment. DS1 and GF are on their way home from Oz as i type so looking forward to hearing all about their holiday and to know how DD is. They don't land till tomorrow and then need to get back from Heathrow so could be the weekend before I see them.

Not much OS here, had Drs appt after work, going ahead with the Mirena coil, TOTM is now unbearable. I have an appt next week to have it fitted. Also had the strange spots on my nose looked at and they appear to be slight sun damage but the Dr said that to have them removed (with liquid nitrogen) will probably cause more marking than the spots themselves so leave them for now and go back if they get any bigger. That is a bit of a relief as I had expected them to be something suspicious.

Hugs to all those feeling poorly, take care. XX

JackieG sorry I missed that you were returning to work next week too, hope it goes well. I will be semi-suspending my diet for the Brum meet, I'll be good on journey up but will allow yummy food and a glass or 2 of wine at the meet, after all I'll be in a different country so it doesn't count :rotfl:

Talking of the meet, I had a v random dream about it last night! I dreamt I was at the meet but all of a sudden it turned into a school reunion and there were loads of people who I hadn't thought of/seen in years in the room. Very odd!

    Evening

Spent over four hours in the hospital this morning and got 'investigated' quite satisfactorily! I also got weighed......_pale_ I do such a good job of ignoring the fact that I'm fat it came as quite a shock to see how good! Something needs to be done - excersising is difficult with my joint pain BUT it can no longer be ignored. On the plus side my lungs and heart fuction great :D

Tin hat & concrete knickers needed here. The Bursar has been forced to climb down & pay for my eye test, in retaliation she has emailed all staff to tell them that the amount paid towards glasses is being reduced because of 'some people being difficult & claiming more that their due'. She's going to look an even bigger twit when she realises that the amount is set by our local authority & she has no say in it!
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

I love your posts Hester! Good for you - more power to your spirit.

My last couple of work days have been less than uplifting and more than dispiriting but I have hope for a change floating in front of my eyes. So it's head down and fingers crossed. Was up prowling the house at 3.00a.m this morning so can feel my bed calling me - will have to succumb very shortly.

My low carb eating has been fabulous and I can see dimples in my big fat cheeks, it's fascinating to see the changes take place. Tonight I had cauliflower, brussel sprouts, leek, asparagus and peppers with chicken strips and sour cream and it's amazingingly tasty. Lots of water helps too.

Will be away from tomorrow morning until Friday morning for work but will read all the posts.

I'm not that good at individual messages but I do follow each person and send good vibrations up for them.

Hmmmmm I've not thought about that :eek: I shan't be drinking as I'll have the car so booze is not an issue......but the food. Oh well I need to learn how to eat better so this might as well be the test ;)

And I still managed to the get the wrong week :o :rotfl::rotfl:

Really looking forward to next week. I perhaps ought to bump the thread and get a formal head count at some point..........

  • I don't really drink, but I am sure I will have a few glasses of wine, so you won't be the only good girl :) A wee bump is a good idea, I have been thinking about it too.x

    Evening all!!

another good day at work, OH is in a grump because we're so skint. I'm trying to work out how to get to my friends house on friday as am supposed to be staying over and don't want to have to cancel if i can help it. I could drive but you need a visitors permit to park, she's lost all hers and i don't want to risk my car getting clamped.. might get OH to take me if possible.. Annoyingly she lives on the total opposite side of the nearest town to me.

Had chicken chow mein for dinner, there was some left over so thats my lunch tomorrow. Going to do a ham and mushroom pasta bake tomorrow so need to get more pasta..

Does anyone know if you can freeze beansprouts?

WM is on, i'm trying really hard to keep on top of the house work and not leave it all to the weekends as it never ends up getting done!

Want comfort food tonight but seeing if a hot chocolate will ward off my cravings. I love that now when i step on the scales with my clothes on it's less that what i weighed without them on before Christmas! v. motivating.

Not alot else to report i don't think. I'm tired and want to curl up with my magazine and then sleep but OH will want me to stay up and watch shameless with him.

Hugs to all who need them and welcome to newcomers!
