Hugs for you NPM, it sounds like hell dealing with that school, I don't know if I think inclusive schooling is good for them or not, especially if they have a lots of needs - there's no way a standard PS teacher with a few days on a training course is going to be able to support a child with multiple needs the way a specifically trained SEN teacher is, it makes me mad, I know a few women who are SEN teachers and their schools were closed down and they now work in units in mainstream schools and are completely frustrated by the limits of the help they can now provide their children.
I was only just popping in quickly to say that I have made a huge decision, and am going back to work next Thursday
Aslo adelight, I agree with NPM, get to the doctor, and I hate to say it again but living in that freezing cold house will have done your health no good at all.

I think it was because DS was in a nursery at an autism centre. It was for 6 children and they had 1 to 1 specialist worker and speech therapist. He was very lucky. He didnt speak till he was 4 despite this and even now is behind with speech compared to peers. He talks a lot but doesnt always have a proper conversation if that makes sense.
He has ADHD also and tourettes and auditory processing disorder and dyspraxia....has a lot to cope with bless him:o
5 hours a week is just an insult to that other poor lad
Molly/Butterflybrain......the DLA form is a very negative experience isnt it....I found writing in detail about my boys difficulties and highlighting why he needs more help than other kids his age very depressing indeed....hugs
sounds like you have a lot to cope with too
well done jac :T:)"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -

Whoo hoo jac:j. take it easy tho hun and dont ask too much of yourself. I don`t know what hours you do but if you are fulltime can you go back shorter hours and build it up so it isnt a shock to the system?

Hello all
Just popped on to see how everyone's doing. Am sat here watching the Corrie catch-up and trying to get the energy to sort the house out.
Went to London late Sunday afternoon and stayed over until yesterday afternoon. We went home via Manchester as OH had to get some paperwork signed, and when we got there, it couldn't be signed as something else was missing  We're both so stressed about him going away, that I'm at the stage where I wish he'd just stay home. He's feeling that way too, so the mood in the house isn't great.
We finally got back last night at 9.30 and then his friend came round - he didn't leave until gone midnight, so I'm tired. I also woke up with a burst blood vessel in my left eye yesterday, and a huge bloodclot at the top. It feels a bit sore, and the blood has spread a bit, but I don't think it's anything to worry about.
Today, I have to go and see if the car that OH is taking has been fixed and finally passed it's emissions for the MOT. It's had a new catalytinc converter fitted - normally something that the OH would do, but he's run out of time. We've haemorrhaged money over the last week, and it's scaring me!
Apart from that, we're having my birthday meal tonight as mum was too ill last week, and it's doubling as a going-away meal for the OH.
Sorry to ramble, I don't feel myself today. I'm quite looking forward to tomorrow morning, 10am as then OH will have arrived for his course, and everything expected will have happened and I can get on with life!
Hope everyone is ok, and hugs to those who need them.

if all of ds' toys were in his room, he would never to go sleep  either that he would throw them down the stairs "I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -

Schools are so frustrating when you have a child with Special Needs - I have been fighting the system for over 13 years mainstream schools are NOT geared up enough for children with ASD's
I remember being called into the school for the same reason - DS was making noises in class but the teacher wouldn't listen to our explanation, in the end we had to call in the child phsycologist(sp?) and he was given a proper statement of needs, such as if he was stressed he could walk out of a class and go to a quiet room to chill out or he could just get a book out and read for a while as a coping mechanism, sadly some teachers were not informed of this and he did have a lot of agro trying to make them understand that he was allowed to do this.
It was bad in lower and middle school, but it is much much worse in upper school.
But DS is a real trooper and has risen above this and is now doing A level Maths, Chemistry and Physics unfortunately he seems to be having trouble with a certain Maths teacher - she keeps telling him he will be kicked of the course if he doesn't conform and DH has been up to see the head of sixth form to complain and things settled down for a while but she has started again  so DH is off up there again tomorrow.
DS has decided that he doeesn't want to stay on to do his A2 levels now which is a real shame because he loves Chemistry. He is going to find a course at College instead.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
