Im getting around 3000Kbps on speedtest.net and it's still murphx. but actually downloading music, video etc speeds are barely 150Kbps. the new FUP says that web browsing and email speeds should not be affected0

Where all the wording on the T's&C's previously said Redten Internet it Now says Fatcat Internet. My agreement is with Redten not Fatcat so surely my agreement is totally null and void now. or are they going to try to argue this breach too??0

Give with one hand take away with the other. Is that how they are managing to offer unlimited broadband by making download speeds so slow its not worth using? Yet again no notice b4 enforcing their new rules. Also in big in ya face letters it says Fatcat Communications limited.
Bandwidth Usage Please wait, data collection in progress. This can take up to 4 minutes.
The total cost of additional bandwidth usage is shown below. Your current plan includes Unlimited of inclusive bandwidth per month (plus any additional Bolt-Ons you may have purchased). Usage above this limit is charged at a rate of £2.00 per GigaByte or part thereof.
You have currently used 3.902 GigaBytes this month. This is calculated by adding 3.418GB of download data to 0.484GB of upload data used this month.
If you know you are going to use additional bandwidth then you can also purchase your bandwidth in advance by using the Bolt-Ons option. From there, you can purchase chunks of bandwidth from as little as £1 per GigaByte.
Anyone want to try and explain, just how in gods name if I'm now on back on supoosidly Unlimited bandwidth, I can use additional bandwidth.
This bunch of ----'s begger belief

Your Broadband Fair Usage
At present you have used 27.57GB of bandwidth this month.
A small number (under 1%) of our customers use our service unfairly; taking up a disproportionate amount of bandwidth. By constantly downloading extremely large movie and data files, 24 hours per day, every day, they affect other people's service. If your usage exceeds what is fair for your product we will temporarily reduce your connection speed to ensure you don't affect other peoples service. This speed will restrict your ability to download large files as quickly as normal, but should not affect web browsing or email.
The status of your personal fair usage is displayed by the traffic light graphic above.
You will need to contact customer services to discuss changing your status back to green.
Green = Fair usage, thank you
Amber = Caution, please reduce your downloads
Red = Your speed is restricted0 -

5th January 2008 FUP Terms changed for clarity purpose
Green = Fair usage, thank you.
Amber = Caution, please reduce your downloads; 30GB used already
Red = Your speed is restricted during peak hours; 60GB used already
Would anyone from these comapanies like to explain how i have been restricted when according to this FUP i should still be on Green?0 -
I would say that at least now they're an active ISP, Offcom can tackle them - except they won't because they're toothless like every other official regulatory body supposedly set up for our protection.
