I'm now serriously well phished off with this shower of brown stuff namely Clode/Njp/Jezza10
Last week after the caps were removed (or so we all thought) although my dl speed was up n down like a horz drawz, I thought that if this was how Clown were leaving us period then I would actually consider staying with them until the end of contract.
for the 1st time since Black Tuesday the connection was actually useable
ie a 1Gb dl took a shade over 15mins!!
However as we all now know these phuking morons have now slapped us all back to a 5Gb cap ...!!!!!!... idiots...
And apparently I now owe them an £8 excess for last months over usage and after only 4 days usage this month I'm apparently a couple of 100Mb off exceeding this utterly pointless and very annoying illegal capping.
I was sitting on the fence about court action previously but this a phuking joke, these bunch of muppets seem to just get off on winding me and everyone else up.
FatCat Internet for example
They've just tipped my scales against them completely now, I'm absolutely phuking incensed now :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Anyone heard anything from Martin :money: ???
He is to busy with his high profile tv career now for the likes of the common people, I have not even seen a post from one of his minions for ages, he can take on major banks and yet refrains to get involved against a two bit toss pot isp, feel free to correct me if i am wrong.
Has anyone found out any new info. from clode lately, it appears people have stopped ringing them and putting the pressure on them....... 5gig is an absolute joke.0 -

5Gig limit is bad enough but I am still on 26 KPS download speed.
Here's a thought; wonder if NJP are pulling the plug for non payment of account in the same way BT did, but leaving us with a basic connectiion rather than no connection at all.0 -
According to the bandwidth monitor I managed to use 7.5GBs last month, not bad when you have been throttled all month at 30 Kb/s download speed.
It says there is a £4 charge, I'm not paying it to NJP, so I assume RT or Clown are paying it. Therefore this month I am going to leave 2 machines on all night downloading absolutely anything I can find that is big enough to keep both machines busy all night, then in the morning I'll delete the large files I have downloaded. If I'm costing them too much then they might release me.
I have been sat on the fence too long now, hoping this would be resolved. I have now had enough. Everyone needs to contact Ofcom and Consumer direct as a minimum. Consumer direct will pass your complaint onto Trading standards. They need as many complaints as possible.
The numbers are on deadten. Stop putting it off ring today.0 -
When I spoke to NJP on monday they said RT are up to date with the account.0

Just an obvious word of advice. If you are planning to hit the downloads then remember that we all signed up to an acceptable use policy and they COULD justifty the throttling based on that if you download an excessive amount.
I appreciate they are throttling anyway, but if you do hit the downloads hard then this is almost their defence/justification.
Obviously you can do what you like, but that is my interpretation of it0 -

The redten fair use policy states only that if you're a heavy user they will manage your bandwidth during peak hours only.0 -
Rebellion, you are of course correct, however didnt want to hand them a stick to bash us with0

i think they have already bashed us with everything else they can, it was the fair use policy excuse they tried with me when we first got capped, until i pointed that out to them, thats when they gave me the copywrite material excuse.
Anyway I'm going back to enjoy the rest of my holiday. back to continue the fight next week, keep ur spirits up guy's dont let the B**tards grind u down.0 -
What should I do if I’m the victim of poor customer service?
If, for example, you’re still being charged after a contract has ended, and you find the customer service department of your ISP responds in an unreasonable manner to your enquiries, then you may be entitled to an apology and, in extreme cases, a compensation payment.
Extreme cases are defined as situations where it takes the ISP a lengthy amount of time to action a refund or requested alteration to the service.
In November 2007, a consumer lodged a complaint against an ISP that took six weeks to action a refund. The claimant was awarded £50 compensation on top of their original refund.
What should I do if my broadband connection fails but I’m still billed?
Contact your ISP and inform them of the failure. In most cases, if the service does not work for four weeks after activation, then you have the right to cancel the agreement under the ‘termination clause’.
A case in May 2007 saw a claimant whose faulty connection had been dormant for a month, have their contract cancelled and bills written off.
Be sure to inform your ISP, in writing, that you intend to cancel the contract after four weeks using the ‘termination clause’. They will not automatically assume this, and if you don’t inform the ISP of your intentions then it may affect any tribunal claims that you make.
Check that you're writing to the correct department and targeting the right people.
It is now almost 3 month since reten/clodes customers were slammed and subjected to capping as against an unlimited service.
if I recall the ADR for Clode stated it would act after 3 months had past.
The advice given by March rabbit is sound. These organisations only act if everyone complains and complains loudly.
Quotes from BT and OFCOM show that only many and collective demands make these organisations sit up. How many have complained about BT wholesale attitude to removing tags when a mac code has been refused?
Mr Allen called on regulator Ofcom to provide an independent speed test to anyone who has signed up to receive broadband.
Speaking for the telecommunications watchdog, a spokesman said: "We are looking at this issue. It is not a huge driver of complaints but it has come on to our radar screen."
Alan Lazarus, head of regulatory policy and strategy at BT, said he was not yet convinced people needed more bandwidth.
"What is the demand? What are the services that people want that take them beyond current capacity?" he asked.
Copy all complaints to your MP and Mt Timms at the house of commons---can be emailed.
no longer FCI and no longer a firstclassidiot --this exercise has taught me an aweful lot about consumer law and the cowboys that exist in business. Even legitimate companies will be researched in future. It only costs £1 to get company report and if registered address is different from trading address then a report will be sent to rogue traders.0 -
For those who are stil capped or fearful of being capped,
If you register at the broadbandchoices web site then you can download their free download monitor and also speed checker.
Their speed checker was the one used for the OFCOM report.
regards to all ; still in there with you
