    Hi all

I signed up to a free service from UKdata.com which emails you when there are changes to a company register. Got an email about Redten today saying that there had been a "CCJ event". Does anyone know anything?
    I know a great broadband provider.....I just can't move to them:eek:

    Hello All,

Just got a letter from Clode today. Which details their complaints procedure. Nothing new but wonder why they are trying to formalise their response so long after the complaints were sent in.

    JamieM

Indeed I got the same letter sent (and check this out!) 1st class - now theres a 1st!

Apparently my complaint has been passed to Louise Hingley for further investigation!

    3 points to make:

    1. What is there to investigate? We are not getting what we signed up for and therefore, we should be cut loose with our credit agreement cancelled and a MAC code. Which bit do they not understand? It's hardly rocket science is it?

    2. The complaints procedure outlines their complaints procedure, which is basically - acknowledgment of complaints with 5 working days, update after 2 weeks, full written update after 4 weeks and final response or explanation after 8 weeks.

Now bearing in mind my original complaint was received by them on 03/04/08, I take that as the start date for the process and I don't think they have exactly kept to their own protocol.

    3. Apparently, if they are unable to work within their set timescale or I'm not satisfied with their final response, I MAY refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Well Clode, that's very nice of you, but if you knew your a-r-s-e from your elbow, you'd know that the Ombudsman is another toothless quango, whose remit doesn't cover financial agreements taken out prior to April 2007, even though they are still subject to the consumer credit act blah blah blah!

I'll be fair and take up your offer to ring you this week and if you don't do the right thing and stop provaricating, I'll send a summons - how's that?

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. I think I'll ring them and tell them much the same thing tomorrow.

    We wish!

Just to let let you all know I haven't jumped ship, just not a lot to tell at the moment, basically I am waiting on my solicitor to get his act together, but like everyone nowadays he cannot be rushed, will let you all know if anything interesting happens, am still sending my daily request for a MAC code in to RT and Clode, with cc's to NJP, OFCOM, Jessa, and a couple of others, it is noe 28 working days since my first request. Have a good day y'all

Question for essex or whoever else has issued court proceedings, mine was "issued" yesterday and defendant has 14 days to reply.

    2 Questions.
    1) If they were issued yesterday, when will they actually be served?
    2) Is it 14 days, or 14 WORKING days?

Actually, Ill have a quick look on the site now and see if I can tell...

Edit: No, help screens arent really... erm.. helpful!

Just wondered if anyone had received their MAC yet? If not has anyone spoken to Clode today?

I can only assume that Clode have to go to NJP or Murphx for their MAC so I wonder if they are telling them the same as what they have been telling the Redten customers....speak to Redten.

  • Received a letter from small claims here.

My summons has been warranted and served on the defender, Clode Retail Finance.

They have until 27.6.2008 to respond.

The hearing is set for the 4.7.2008.

They have an honourable way out if they choose to take it as per my original proposal.

However I am not going to chase them.

Yes, I have seen that to. It may be because someone has served a summons on them but not sure.

I looked up the London Gazette but could not find any judgement having been recorded
