A number of people have stopped their DD's and heard nothing from Clode. I stopped mine and like some others got a reminder letter to pay.
When I called them about it, I was told that it was an automated letter and was sent to anyone that missed a payment. If this is true then why are some people not getting them.
Just trying to work out what the pattern is for this, not sure if it's due to when we signed up or not. I signed Nov 2006 and got the reminder letter, anyone else have any ideas.

Essex - I think it's to do with when the first direct debit payment was stopped - I have received a letter from them about non payment as I cancelled mine with effect from 1 April payment - I think it's taken them a good 5 weeks to react and send a letter, so i guess people who stopped their payments at the end of April/beginning of May have a few weeks to go before they get anything.0 -

If it s at the Luton address then it is one of the clan. It was originally Shiraz , from companies info but is mortgaged to the hilt to Online Distribution Ltd--owned by guess who!!!

Totallyfedup and Essex, I stopped my DD beginning of March and within a couple of days of the 25th got a letter - I then paid by debit card, my payment should have gone out last month (april) on the 25th and have received nothing since. Although I did email Clode to tell them I was witholding any further payments until they restore my service or take me to court.

Did you tell them you were in dispute and withholding payments until resolved? or while you went through the court process?
That might be what the difference is.

Phew!!!!!!! That was close.
My connection totally dropped out for a few minutes then. I thought Clode or Redten or whoever is in charge had done an 'Essex' on me for a moment, but I'm up and running again now. Is it me, or do we suffer more dropouts now than with BT? Wasn't that one of the original explanations given for the switch?Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

I never had any dropouts with BT. That along with BT providing poor customer service was the excuse i got for the switch.
now who is providing poor customer service? actually no customer service is what i mean0 -

I hear you well on this point, when we were on the BT line, I had no complaint at all, everything was peachy in fact.
But the !!!!!! service supplied to us though NJP is mind blowingly phuking crap, it drops out repeatedly, I get numerous time-outs and then get dropped line until power off for approx 5 mins, the service is very router unfriendly as THEY keep terminating my connection.
On top of all this, I am unable to use my line the way I require to use it as I go over the restrictive 15Gb cap after just 2 weeks of normal useage (No P2P traffic)
At least my holiday was fun

Still nothing received from Clode regarding my issues with them. I finally received a hard copy to my new address of the standard reply regarding their complaints procedure.
I had a reply from the customerrelations@clode email address just to inform me they're sorry for the oversight on my address details (I informed them over 3 months ago that I moved house, they moved the broadband find but never changed the mailing address) so they sent the hard copy complaints letter to my new address, but since then - nothing.
I emailed them straight back saying it wasn't good enough as it does not respond to any of the issues I have raised, that I have no connection with them, which they terminated, and yet I'm still paying for it.
So, still stuck paying 2 broadband companies and getting nowhere. I'm still too busy/concerned about taking legal action though.
Plus doesn't help that I got a speeding fine the other day, argh! This sucks!Dannii_B
