Ive had it with them now. Fed up with waiting for a solution.

Given them till the end of the day to deal with this or court action will be started on Monday.

    Found this during search:

    REDTEN COMPUTERS: Falls into Administration
ROBERT BAILEY: Administrators from Elwell Watchorn Enter Firm
ROY HOLLINGWORTH: Names Poppleton & Appleby Liquidator
SECURITY CONSCIOUS: Calls in Liquidator from Milner Boardman
SOL GAS: Hamiltons Liquidator Takes over Firm

Don't know if same people will be dealing with Redten Internet.
No more details - link was http://bankrupt.com/TCREUR_Public/050927.mbx

Thats from September 2005, but it was nice to dream that they were in liquidation.

I rang Clode yesterday morning to find out if anybody had looked at my counter settlement letter. I spoke to Beata (she is always polite and understanding IMO), she explained that both Nick and Nicola where dealing with all the complaints as and when they can but there is such a high volume that it may take some time to get a definitive answer.

She suggested that I send a 'reminder' email to them both, but she assured me that my letter would be considered and replied to in due course.

How long do these people need to sort this out, they have already had around two months and they still dont seem to have dealt with any complaints yet. Yes they may have a high volume of complaints regarding Redten but instead of making us wait they should be devoting more manpower to resolving it. They have still not responded to any of my original letters or emails, and im fed up with hearing it may take some time or i will get a response in due course.

I had an email saying my complaint had been escalated to the MD Nick Davies the other day, but I had been told weeks ago that he was looking into it personally already. So just who is telling us the real facts at Clode? I suspect nobody is the answer.

I have tried to deal with this amicably and have been more than patient. But i think now the only way they are going to listen and get this sorted is the legal route.

Many of us suspect that they are but have yet to fall, how else can you account for Babers resignation, that company house are unaware of, and offers from NJP to poach our accounts from Redten, (as we have had pointed out to us on numerous occasions NJP cannot touch Redten for legal reasons, when it comes to MAC codes), and why can Clode now only be the ones who can release us from our contracts, when their mantra a few weeks ago was exactly the opposite, only Redten could release us. These people must think we are absolute morons, and are playing for time, to salvage whatever they can from the shambles. I only hope OFCOM issue the kind of penalties just issued to ITV and others for their scams, it will serve Clode right, but I suspect Redten will just declare insolvency if that happens.

If Clode/Redten/NJP would only come clean with some genuine information, it would stop all of this speculation.

    Hiya all

Sorry for the lack of posts from me but I've been on my hols for the past 3 weeks.
Could someone please summarise what's been happening (If anything!) as I was previously upto page 204 and can't face wadding through 50 more pages to get upto speed on things.
I opened today a waffle letter
received from NJP on the 30th April, which says no to requested MAC as RT are my Provider and that they 'just' supply RT the line etc etc, I suppose most received this letter as well?
And that they would switch me over to Fast4 as an alternative, bloody cheek!
Has anyone taken these !!!!!!! scumbags to court yet? info info info :D

I took the offer from Clode to pay a final settlement figure and leave at the start of last week, but still no MAC.
Nicola Dobson has told me that she is on the case on my behalf, but it's already past the 5 days that Red-cu-nts-ten have to sort it out within.
Can't migrate, Tiscali checked the line today and said it's still locked, despite the fact that I've made my last payments and have cancelled my direct debit.
Been trying to get a MAC from Red-cu-nts-ten for 5 weeks now to no avail, even tried the so called customer service number for them that’s now shown on the NJP Services page but just got a chap with really poor English skills who after a few attempts managed to let me know that not only did he have no way to arrange a MAC for me, but he also had no way of contacting Red-cu-nts-ten himself.
His wonderfully helpful advice was, wait for it, wait for it, yupp, why don't I contact them directly myself, I thought I was (@50ppm) by speaking to him.
NJP won't give me a code as I'm not their customer, even though they have my credit card details, without my permission of course.
Requests to the mac@redten address go unanswered as do the letters and other emails.
The sooner that Red-cu-nts-ten finally go under the better as far as I'm concerned.

Still it's far too nice to stay indoors typing on my FREE PC, I'm off into the garden to sit with a beer and contemplate what use I could put a red hot poker to if I ever meet anyone who has ever taken a pay cheque or dividend from them

See, that's a farkin disgrace that is - you bit the bullet, settled your account and are still in limbo without a MAC code.

Just makes me even more definite on my course of action next week. Not heard from Clode despite me giving them the ultimatum of today to come back to me with proposals otherwise court action.

So yet again they have basically ignored me - I will make good on my threat however and will be issuing proceedings on Monday for the balance of my account and the 2 payments they have had since this whole mess started.

I offered you a way out Clode but you chose not to take it. Stuff you then, if it takes a judge to make you act then so be it.

gnipper thats exactly what I asked for when I submitted my Court claim on the 1st May, also added the cost of phone calls to try and sort this mess out, £45 (think it's been a lot more than that by I only get monthly bills from Talk Talk and you can see how much calls have been part way through a month, so I think they have got of lightly with that.)

Still not had any response from them about it yet.
