I wont mention cost of calls - it would be too difficult for me to fathom - very very few actually got through to Redten (maybe 2 out of many) and they were on the direct 0208 number so no real cost incurred.
I made them a resonable counter offer and if it goes to court then the only resolution will be for them to pay ME £40. bloody daft really but if thats what they want then that is what will happen.
Also made official complaint to Ofcom today for what it is worth - not that I expect them to do anything but it makes me feel a whole lot better!!0 -
1st beers gone now
As far as complaints go I put them in to the ASA, Ofcom, Trading standards and the Financial Ombudsman Service, all a few weeks ago on the 27th of March, got letters back from all saying that my concerns would be looked into.
But when Red-cu-nts-ten go under they won't have to worry about these complaints again, not that they have done up till now either.
Back to the garden with beer no' 2 now

Even though I'm away from all of this, already moved on day one - still got clode to sort out! I still spend everyday reading the threads. I stopped my DD last month to clode - should have gone out on the 25th last month - was expecting a no payment letter - but nothing as yet - obviously to busy with other things! As I said before - I'm taking a different approach in this - if they want the money they can chase me and if they provide me what I signed up for I will be happy to pay them, but I doubt this will ever happen! So all I say is "clode YOU take me to court - I look forward to it" I'm still rooting for everyone else who is affected by this (even checking companies house everyday to see when redten become deadten - matter of time).
Keep it up - victory is near :T

Hi all
While I agree that the only way forward is to keep on at Clode as talking to redten / njp is useless, we shouldn't forget who got us in this mess. Found this snippet which does not supprise me on UK ISMAILI Millionaires website:
Father and son team, Nazir and Shiraz Jessa have built up IT e-tailer and
mail order company, Watford Electronics from humble beginnings in 1972 into
a major player in the IT sector. The business is owned by the Jessa family
and made just #159,000 profit on #16.4m sales in 2002. But it does have
#3.9m of assets and with the family's other assets such as Greyacre, a
#233,000 property company, the Jessas are worth #4.5m.0 -

This was posted 4 years ago, wonder what their status is now ?0 -
This just received from my local trading standards:
Dear
I have received a phone call from Mr Gulzar of Redten. He confirms that he has sent off the paperwork to Companies House to inform them he has resigned his positions as director and secretary. Presumably they are still processing this, as the records I purchased still has him listed.
He has given me the name of the sole shareholder of the company, at the Luton address and advised that I could try to write to him.
I will do this next week, and see if that helps.0 -
Something interesting happening here.
A number of people have stopped their DD's and heard nothing from Clode. I stopped mine and like some others got a reminder letter to pay.
When I called them about it, I was told that it was an automated letter and was sent to anyone that missed a payment. If this is true then why are some people not getting them.
Just trying to work out what the pattern is for this, not sure if it's due to when we signed up or not. I signed Nov 2006 and got the reminder letter, anyone else have any ideas.

I think it's interesting that Clode haven't bothered to interact with us informally here (unless it's in disguise as a troll!).
Perhaps they haven't got the time!Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.
