Strange my copy came Saturday and it said they had been also sent to Cardiff at the same time,
Oh yes I forgot they only have one part time person opening the post and they have all the complaint letters from the last two months still to open...
Hopefully my court papers will be arriving on Mr Davies desk next week so he can start a collection, I don't know that I will offer to deal though, as I have already made that offer, and Mr Davies wearing his blinkers chose to reject it out of hand.
We shall see nearer the time.

That fact that they can't be bothered to open letters and say the papers haven't arrived isn't my fault.0 -
The courts will see it as very black and white. They will have no option but to come down on our side. Otherwise that will set a precident contradicting a statutory law. I don't think they will look kindly on a finance company that isn't prepared to do what it's legally required to and doesn't even read correspondance properly etc.
We are only seeking to enforce the law and have been more than reasonable. We shouldn't have to make offers or show that we have been round the block with toothless government organisations which take months to do anything, and that's only if it's in their jurisdiction.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

I was one of the 'lucky ones' (in hindsight) who signed up in January 2008 but never received any equipment (therefore, no payments have been taken during the past 3 or 4 months of interrupted internet access).
Clode are advising that I contact Redten or NJP to obtain my MAC code. Still unable to get through to Redten. Any advice as to the best route to get my code would be much appreciated. Cheers!
Hi Shender,
I was in a very similar position to you - got confirmation that Clode had cancelled my finance agreement, but took ages to finally get a MAC code. I eventually got mine from NJP - I had called them on a number of occasions, and they had always refused to help.
Eventually when I called and asked them again to give me a MAC code because I couldn't contact Redten, they told me that they were aware Redten's Customer Service line wasn't being answered, but their premium rate line was still taking calls, and they could pass on a request for MAC, and I should get a call with the code - and insisted that Redten was able to issue the codes, and that it had to be Redten who did so. I duly called the premium rate number and had the message passed on - and, surprise, surprise, got no response. So I called back, saying Redten were still uncontactable other than on that premium rate number, and I had taken their advice and called it, but with no result. The man I spoke to said he'd look into it and call me back the following day. I called again the following day to be told the MAC code had been requested and I could call back the next day for it - and did so. So, I would suggest you keep trying NJP, and keep pushing. Make the point that you have been released from your finance agreement because you never received any equipment, and make the point that Redten are uncontactable.
Best of luck!

It is against Ofcom's rules to charge any fee for a MAC, requiring you to pay for a premium rate call to ask for a MAC surely breaks these regulations.0 -
The size of this thread stands out and I couldn't help looking back a few pages. I'm sorry a lot of you seem to be having so many problems.
Apologies for being a bit off topic, but many of you seem to be well up on the law. There is a thread running about webwise and phorm and if any of you could contribute any legal experience there, i'm sure a lot of people would be very grateful.
Good luck with your campaign. Impressive thread.0
